  1. It will probably last you the rest of your life!
  2. http://dmmprofessional.com/documents/perfecto.pdf These look nice.
  3. The newer Stihl anti-spill spout fits the Echos, and the Husky 540. The old ones didn't. It must have been on a diet.
  4. Hahaha! Bit of a shame, but pretty inevitable as you say. That stick should be around for a bit now though.
  5. Did you reduce that yourself Ben?
  6. There’s some good tennis elbow threads on here mate. I totally changed my climbing style, pretty much jacked in one-handing, got a baby Echo, had physio, used elbow clasps and had cortisone jabs. It’s under control now but I only climb a couple of days a week. Good luck with it, it’s a bastard.
  7. Rich has beat me to it. I never paid him more because his rigging kit pretty much replicated mine, though I would have done if I needed it. Thinking about it, I probably should have paid him more a few times because we used his kit as well on some complex jobs, but my groundies were trained to nick it from the back of his truck then put it back before he noticed. I wouldn’t get greedy, but an extra £20/day for a longer than usual (60m?) line and a decent extra block wouldn’t phase me if I needed it. @bigtreedon Would be a good man to ask.
  8. I’ve got the male contraceptive pill. It’s about the size of a conker. I thought ‘I’ll never swallow that!’, but it turns out you put in in your boot. It makes you limp.
  9. That’s a weird one Dan. Mine was awful, literally had to crack the top corner with my right to engage it, which is asking for trouble, but it melted/bedded in and was perfect. Funnily enough I’m in the workshop sharpening it for an oak takedown tomorrow. Now over 10 years old, it’s only ever had bars, chains, sprockets and fuel caps from new. It always starts second pull. The most reliable saw I’ve ever had. It wears a 25”, but has pulled a 36” often enough when needed. It seeps bar oil a bit when stored base down, but that’s like saying Cameron Diaz’s tits have sagged slightly since she was 19.
  10. Sounds like you need a 4x4 alright. I live on the flatlands in Kent now, AT tyres on the rears of the Transit helped me, but won’t be enough for you. I used to drive 110 and 130 tippers at work, they are just so bloody unrefined and uncomfortable. Load space was fairly limited as well (although so is the Transit’s, legally ?) Awesome off road though, and always fixable. The value thing is a plus, if you buy one and really hate it you can always punt it on for the same money. I’d be tempted by a more modern Jap 4x4 tipper, but I don’t think any of them are as reliable as they’re made out to be. It’s a tough one for sure.
  11. Get one. Then when you get a Transit tipper again you will really appreciate it.
  12. That bloke in the pic has got it all wrong Kevin, I agree. Sitting down is a far more ergonomic work position. This fella knows the score.
  13. I’m a faithless slapper when it comes to saws. I don’t go for virgins, I wait until a few of my mates have given them a good going over first then decide which ones I fancy. I am currently entertaining reliable performers of 3 different colours, offering a variety of penetration from 10” to 36”.
  14. Hockling is where the rope twists and develops memory like a spring. I’ve got a swivel kicking around somewhere if you want it Matty.
  15. Stihl 462 and Husky 572 will both be out soon. Judging by Josh’s video they both look like rippers.
  16. Here you go Mr. Dempsey. Merry Christmas mate!
  17. Bloody right it’s not mate, not since the kids appeared! One day I will ride the white plains of truth again! And there’s not many gunts on display in the Alps....?
  18. I’ve got my own views on fat lasses, and God knows I’ve tried to improve a few of their lives over the years, but this thread has become a bit more than that. VI that state you mentioned pages ago when snowboarding on fresh powder? I get that, I totally get it.
  19. It’s not my fault I’ve developed a physique based on efficiency Joe.
  20. I must admit I climb better with a rope as well.
  21. Does anyone really hate their lass that much?
  22. I never had much joy with the charcoal ones, they kept going out. When it's really brutal I use the shakey teabag ones (single use only). Pricey, but they have the advantage that you can pop them into your gloves.
  23. I'm getting one of those. Does anyone know what it does?
