  1. I am mate, very short muscle bellies, Indian club calves. I know that genetics play the biggest part here, I'm never going to have big calves, but any improvement would be welcome though. 2:1:1 BCAA's ordered, time to push on a bit. Hadn't thought of the rucksack thing. I'll try the wife's makeup bag tonight, that should add about 200kg's worth of resistance.
  2. I'm not being funny, but I'd tell you to f-off. If I had a tenner for every messer who wanted wood for carving, turning, rustic furniture, camp building, chopping blocks etc. I'd be a millionaire already.
  3. While I'm on, any tips for training calves at home? Obviously no access to calf raise machine. I'm freestyling on the stairs at the minute, but need to come up with a way of adding resistance that still lets me balance.
  4. I'm pretty sure you can, and I know exactly what you mean, I may well do the same. I think they can be replaced with the Buckingham leather straps. Honey Brothers would be able to help you. Let me know how you get on.
  5. You certainly can’t Tommy. ’vice’, ‘suction, and ‘£6’. Every box ticked. Good lad.
  6. From the thread title I thought this was going to be about Joe Newton.
  7. No jokes about £300 being good money in 1904, thanks.
  8. I’ve seen climbers who aren’t worth £300 a week, and I’d include myself in that when I started out.
  9. Yes mate. Real shame the waist doesn’t adjust down to 26”.
  10. I just thought it was too bulky. A racing snake like me needs a slimline harness.
  11. Sorry, meant it came out of a cracker.
  12. SRT attachment points and tea-making facility I’ve heard. Although that might be what I requested from Petzl, I forget.
  13. Remember that if you’re climbing you need a groundie. That means you need Employers Liability insurance, which is a legal requirement. PL (which is definitely a good idea) on it’s own is fairly useless in our game. Trust and Arborisk are two companies that are definitely worth talking to.
  14. Those old 2.4D’s could pull a fucksite more than anything in a garage or in homo-mode with ECU issues Mick.
  15. Remember the classic Clarkson piece where he tried to kill a Hilux? It probably wouldn’t take him very long with a new one.... Progress is great, I love the AV’s on my modern saws for instance, but I totally agree that maybe we hit a peak and then everything slid a bit, certainly in terms of longevity and build quality. Im lucky I don’t need a new 4x4, they all seem to have issues. Adblue can f-off and die for a start.
  16. Where can I apply for the ‘Tree Deadener’ position please?
  17. My diet pretty much reflects Rich’s, apart from the salad and healthy stuff. On top of that I eat loads of junk and drink heavily. This has provided me with extra abdomen protection just in case anyone punches me in the stomach.
  18. Which area Ross? As Paul says, glad you’re on the mend.
  19. We know Diane Abbott is one of your lovers.
  20. I get that mate, totally. I suppose having a friendly and reasonable discussion with the neighbour leading to a satisfactory conclusion for all parties is out of the question? Please don’t accuse me of being thick, or naive. I am both.
