Eggs you bastard, I taught you to climb! Well, tried! JRM is a very interesting man. Certainly ferociously intelligent, and impressed me greatly with his honesty and directness when answering questions. The 6 child thing doesn’t sit that well with me, I feel slightly guilty having 3 (but the last 2 were twins), but his stance on who is paying for them is pretty admirable. He is a massive millionaire posho, but I can think of far worse people to lead the country. If he was my MP he’d get my vote. Intelligence seems to be somewhat underrated at the moment.

You’ll never have quads like The Golden Eagle Silky! J and Don if I’ve ever got any flu like lergy I avoid training completely. Yes, you go back a step, but I’ve always found training makes things worse. Gives any little niggles a bit of healing time as well.

That is pretty incredible. My Grandma died at Christmas, born when WW1 was still raging, aged 102, and I thought I was a bit special.

Yell told me with a straight face I’d had 3000 hits in a month on the website they designed for me. Saying I specialised in ‘palm and conker trees’, published without my consent. The only relevant location was my village which has 2000 inhabitants, although they assured me every hit was from a separate IP address. I hate liars.

I bought a Chester and used it this week. Ascent was so much smoother than with a necklastic, just make sure the RW is disengaged before ascent.

There’s a lot of truth in that Ben. It may be dependent on area a bit, but down here I see a lot of the mobile tarmac boys using it, which speaks volumes to me. As Mick alluded to earlier though, they’ve got to be better than Yell. My bitter relationship with them ended years ago when they threatened to take me to court for £1500 and I called their bluff. Wish we’d gone, looking back, they would have been ordered to pay me money.

A very good website is the way forward these days. As a matter of fact I know a very IT-savvy bloke who does them who knows the arb game inside out, he was a freelance climber of some note for over 20 years. That means you’ll get a website designed by someone who knows what the crack is, rather than a fat bloke with soft hands and a massive watch. Although he will certainly end up like that. My personal experience is that most people overtrain, massively. For pure strength and muscle at least. I made the best gains on my bench when I was doing one brutal session a week. Get in, train hard, get out.
