  1. I would leave it. Climbing over it is helping combat the obesity crisis.
  2. I've gone over to the DMM from a large caritool with the gate removed. It is good, but you sacrifice the ability to high sling a bigger saw by the front handle.
  3. It does doesn't it? The reality is a bit different, like!
  4. Totally invaluable, not for saw work as said. Petzl Reactik Plus here, and Petzl Tikka in truck ducket or jacket. The Reactik isn't that cheap, but means I can run in the woods at night, and it dips when I get back to civilisation. Rechargeable with a separate AAA battery pack available if you're working far from civilisation. Like in Southend or somewhere.
  5. Always happy to quote removals mate!
  6. I'm pretty sure that was my advice! Im sure someone suggested it was better doing that, but without taking the throwline!
  7. That's not a hedge though is it? It's a line of shite trees that some skinflint has failed to maintain. The gypos are welcome to them.
  8. This is where SRT wins every time Bill, you don't have to isolate a crotch. You can always switch systems when you're up there. Back in the day me and my old gaffer spent about 2 hours trying to get into a big pine at a convent for an inspection. I did hit a decent anchor eventually, but cocked up trying to install a cambium saver and pulled everything out, so we went home. Back the following week I hit a decent anchor quite early. I can still picture the sight of him yarking his way up miles on a prusik with the rope running over a big, rough, sticky limb.
  9. I must have missed school the day they taught us about losing the war(s)....
  10. Those corrupt bastards should be giving us £50 billion as a thank you to winning the last couple of wars for them.
  11. Burn them? You're mental. I sold them all for £9 each, made a small fortune. Nearly enough to pay for a meal after swimming.
  12. Hahaha, that conservatory has been felled and replaced with an extension so I'd kind of given up on the maintenance at that point. Perhaps I could have given myself a discount!
  13. I turned up with half a bulk bag of logs in the back of the Navara at Centreparcs once, and found out our chalet that year had a gas fire. Bugger.
  14. I know that is a potential issue, but I've had no problems with it. I'll get a pic of it loaded this week.
  15. Here's mine mate. Still chop and change to Ddrt when the situation demands. Really important to set the RW in neutral for smooth ascents.
  16. Clipping into a caritool instead of a side D. That hurt. Shooting up an SRT line, getting to about 45' then realising I hadn't clipped in my system onto my bridge. Which was difficult with shaking hands.
  17. Apparently a dance move had gone wrong. He was trying to do the conger. I'll get me coat....
  18. You are probably at more danger of dying of exhaustion than a kickback to the neck.
  19. They actually used to charge for it, now it's free. There's a first time for everything!
