  1. Looking good Paul, your not far of Stephen Blair you know!
  2. We know and it’s mostly shite that comes out!
  3. Why does he need flogging? He hasn’t done anything wrong, I don’t like his business model but at least he’s not pricing work cheap just to get it, fair play I say, he is exploiting idiots who do work for nothing like you and your rope, idiots that can’t do it, do it cheap and the spout about utter shite! That man is a good business man, not the fools working for crumbs.
  4. Martin it seems to me you generally want everything for sfa, you need to understand business is business and they don’t run on 50 quid cash jobs just because you think they can, try running an arb business it really ain’t as flash as you seem to think!
  5. Do you still have the clock on and off site thing and you only get paid for days you approve eg if you say it’s a 2 day job and it’s done in one cos we use big kit/ more men you only pay the one day ?
  6. Stay at it, you won’t get that in this industry, to be good you will need 3 to 5 years on the tools and it’s hard work, doing a 4 week course won’t cover much and won’t make you any where near fast enough, if money isn’t the driving force and your willing to take a big pay cut and want enjoyment then go for it.
  7. I’m not a lover of the 750k stuff as it’s all a compromise on weight v build quality also not keen on the sideways feed rollers, much prefer the normal roller set up, it doesn’t grip as well as either our Bandit or Jensen but still a good machine
  8. Yes we had it on trail last year fir a week, it’s a good machine, petrol is quite and it has a nice pop to the exhaust! Chipped well enough, the only gripe I had was the stop bar is like a hair trigger and was fir ever getting knocked. We have a 150 diesel as a lightweight fir the young lads and the petrol was just as good imo. A fair step up in production from the 130
  9. Looks good, I have got something similar coming for my 4 guys, I think the wires would be better running inside the helmet to save them getting caught in brash etc
  10. 25k to a developer isn’t a lot really, depending on the development he could gain that back multiple times.

  15. We have a 60x40 unit with roller shutter door and the same size out side yard fir chip etc, what do you call realistic rent?
  16. The short answer is No! The market is flooded with Want to be tree surgeons, gardeners landscapers and the like, pretty much every tree surgeons will have his own chipper etc so I wouldn’t invest money to hire your kit out.

How do you rate the 620 Echo? After having another 560xp go pop and Stihl loosing a lot of quality I’m thinking of trying a different brand

  19. You moving on from your current business then? Just get gm to modify the Shute , no big deal
  20. The Multione isn’t glass fibre panels there plastic and v brittle plastic at that! Oh and very expensive brittle plastic I may add !!!
  21. Hirer must have “hired in plant “ I would say
  22. Just get on with it and get paid! The tree consultant is the guy calling the shots and the one who is making the recommendations
