  1. Matty I get where your coming from and yes I agree, trackers arnt the be all and end all and every situation is different.
  2. How you liking the battery top handle Reg ?
  3. We have a biggish warn winch fitted to a 8” tracked jensen, it’s good and Jensen’s are better built that a tinny wolf but electric winches are really for rescue, yes you can pull trees etc with them but there hard on batteries and the winch motor as it will get maxed out all the time, our big Bandit has a hydraulic winch and designed fir pulling all day, if it gets maxed out it simply won’t pull but it won’t burn out!
  4. To be honest it probably better to spend the extra money on security and trackers for plant and not insure them as in reality we rely on insurance co but there usually as bad as the thieves, my plant ins was 2k last year, I'm going to cancel it next year and pay out for trackers I think
  5. Sorry to hear mark, I know the feeling well! Hope you get sorted soon. Insurance co are twats, they can actually refuse to pay out for being under insured! If you need a loan machine I have an Arb 150 you can borrow, have to collect though .
  6. Weight won’t be much of an issue being tracked , they spread the weight better than wheeled . Not used either so can’t comment .
  7. Think it depends where in the uk your starting but I would think of something else, the uk is swamped with small tree business all fighting over work and under cutting in price, What do you need? In the domestic market, nothing.... and many don’t !
  8. No I quite happy here thanks and yes you are way off base!
  9. Pretty much It’s just a big roundabout!
  10. I’m quite good at name calling I just choose not to be a child most of the time but seeing as it’s you your a Bell end ! [emoji849]
  11. What a jumped up snobbish pathetic attitude, so you are above everyone ok if that’s what you think crack on, life has a habit of hitting back! Unfortunately people with your attitude are below plant life ! Sad but true
  12. for supposedly grown tree men there's a lot of snowflakes on here, man up, not everyone like you opinions, I'm Islamophobic, that doesn't mean I hate all Muslims, I hate it being rammed down thy throat, I'm not into gays either but I don't abuse them that make me homophobic? , treat as I find to all that's my idea and some of the dicks on here are just pathetic. if you cant come on here with out swearing don't bother! that's the rules. I'm out and wont be investing!

    Echo 70cc+

That will be another good brand ruined with electric crap
  14. One of the Common problem with forst, but there back up is v good
  15. Haha a set for 500 quid , I think not get a price from Yorkshire compact loafers for the plastic from multione you will be shocked !
  16. The plastic panels are impregnated with gold or so you would think with the price and damage v easily in this game !
  17. You cannot make it "safe" only as safe as possible, your client needs to know the difference! You can top it by half and in 10 yrs it will be a rotten as, pointless reducing it sympathetically, "Pollarding" is an overused spec as "Pollarding" should only be done correctly on trees up to 10yrs of age in the true sense, "Pollarding " is the modern term for Topping. By topping it your basically doing a staged fell as it will rot quickly and re growth will be weak, Remove to base like Mark said if the only real practical solution. bad planting as Mark states
  18. I see they also do a heated version Bob, what’s yours clean like?
  19. I hate this page, every time I catch up it costs me money , parts washer and crimps look great thanks Bob
  20. Your not supposed to do the bloody dishes you dick [emoji23]
  21. No they don’t but there still cheaper that the comparable German machine, go check the price if an 9” jensen! You might be shocked !
  22. will deffo out last a Forst but there again I bet there near on double the price now, the German stuff is good but the prices have got silly IMO what size is it Mick 9" ?
  23. I ran 2 Forsts, a 6 and an 8" both were very productive machines when running, mine were early ones and both had problems, back up from Redwoods was superb but its still down time that cant be got back. Think I paid about 19k for the 8", would I have another yeah probably but after running a couple of Bandits a 12" and a 7" I think there are more reliable machines around like Bandit , Vermeer , Greenmech, Jensen etc.
  24. Supermarkets , petrol stations and shopping centres are mostly on national contracts with the likes oh ground control or Glendale etc, both of which are crap to work for, basic money and long terms, no thanks!
