  1. So where does this fit in??? It’s 21k over 750k and only 6” would it be better to just get an Arb 200!
  2. its a great resource Steve, can you get it back up?
  3. If you get a some one with a big chipper fir a couple of days that’s more than your 800 quid gone!
  4. Had two 2511 from new for about 3 years, didn’t use bio and never had a problem!
  5. Pete B is having the remainder of his trans gender operation completed ?
  6. The D4 were 3lt not 2.7 but they still have crank issues, seems to be look of the draw which is a shame as they look so good and perform v well, they just ain’t reliable as a second hand car.
  7. My puma 110 has been very good, just had egr valve, cooler and clutch etc after 125k miles plus routine maintenance but it will be the last LR I own, I can’t bring myself to pay a staring price of 40k with vehicles that have so many issues and they all look pretty much the same now and to me have a greater “chav” look than ever before!
  8. Wether it’s a “sport” or not surly Working at hight regs will be applicable ?
  9. And your probably an in bred idiot ! I drive amongst other vehicles a 2012 defender, been good but there again there little to go wrong like modern LR cars.
  10. Bollox, read the forums the crank issues is a well know issue, one of the most unreliable and problematic vehicles on the road! And those “sheds” as you call them are holding there money far better than any disco, why because they have good engines and reliability as standard not as as optional extra! Here is just one! https://www.lrukforums.com/threads/catastrophic-engine-failure.175289/
  11. Both the D3 and D4 have well know crank issues, look in the LR forums, it’s quite shocking when you see what people have had go wrong! If I was buying a big older tow rug it would have to be a LC Amazon
  12. Just be wary, it’s not just a smoke test anymore fir diesels and if it looks like it has been altered in any way they will fail it Steer clear of old D3 they had the 2.7 v6 and had crank issues along with many electrical gremlins, all Discos out of warranty have the potential to be money pits but a good late D2 is a much better bet. Consider a land cruiser or shogun as well .
  13. Deffo keep the GM as back up, you will need it !
  14. The AA have gone down on bended knees and sucked the HSE off on this one, total waste of time having them imo

    New saws

    Hopefully some reliability !

    day rates

Don’t buy work, your way too cheap to start with and the problem with this is yes you will build a customer base up but they will be used to cheap prices, as soon as you start putting them up they will think your “getting expensive “ start as you mean to go on!
  17. Hahaha I was going to say that but thought it was a tad sarcastic! I cut wood with mine! we I did briefly till they went pop and I binned them!
  18. I heard a the same but they need to get reliability issues sorted first with the machine already on the market, second hand no other manufacturer wants to take them in !
  19. are they any more reliable? I have had a 550 and 2 560's, all a PITA starting and lasted 18 months before going pop, the 550 went pop at tickover! all run on aspen like all our other kit and only ever had problems with the new huskys!
  20. So, where do you stand with PUWER regs and LOLER if you are adding an extra bridge to a harness that was originally designed and supplied with only one? by doing that you are "modifying" the harness, If the extra one failed or the harness failed for some reason I bet that issue will be brought up!

    Dolmar

Yeah it is poor, both times it has been rebuilt under warranty, this time it’s on the scrap shelf, only ever run on aspen aswell

My PS5105 went pop for the third time in its 4 year life today! decided to eat its piston rings this time, not really done much work either! shame as it was nice to use but that's it for me, wont touch them again.
  23. its only a recommendation not a requirement in law.
  24. The HSE would be better bringing in tighter regulations for the industry and driving the cowboys out instead of this BS, all this does is cater for the lowest denominator (shit tradesmen) and makes it harder for the competent, its a bit like saying all chippy's cant use circular saws because there dangerous and everybody has to go back to a hand saw because some mong isn't competent! the only thing this will benefit is the training industry as they will be able to milk the old cow even more!
