  1. Jcb beaver pack will lift the 350kg weight on my post driver but don't expect it to be as quick as tractor hydraulics
  2. First pair was 3-4 months and the second pair started after about 6 months and slowly got worse to the point I had to take the insole out to get my feet in
  3. Had exactly the same with 2 pairs of protector pros, where the inner material bunches up behind the toe cap
  4. at least the bog will be clean then:001_tongue:
  5. polish it with nitromorse mark, will come up proper shiny.... til it rains!
  6. I had one with 280k on the clock and it was a peach, mechanically spot on tho the interior looked like it had seen a few passes with a mulcher. If you look after them with regular oil and filter changes they generally keep going. When I lived in Australia I regularly saw them with 400k on the clock
  7. nice set up, im after a changing my crane trailer and getting a muller similar to that.
  8. If you get any work that requires bigger kit give me a shout, based between ashford and tenterden.
  9. i got a 3.2 shogun commercial with auto box, fantastic for towing or general driving. little bit thirstier than the manual is the downside but otherwise all good. also got tiptronic setting so can drive it like a clutchless manual if you prefer, which i find better in hilly areas as you can down change earlier and use the engine braking more.
  10. Green and yellow thing with rubber bands over wheel barrow wheels!! They will auger a hole in easy ground or soily soil but hit stone and they generally stop! The bigger the auger the worse it gets!
  11. The jewsons skidsteer is generally a kanga kid, the auger will struggle in hard ground and don't expect it to be very stable. I regularly use the larger model kanga and they are a totally different animal, will run a auger or trencher well and still have enough grunt in the hydraulics to move at the same time.
  12. Just get it dirty.... Much cheaper and easier!
  13. The backplates on my lm166 are bolted to the flange on the axle with 4 large Allen bolts, could you not just rotate round the flange.
  14. Could you not lower the spring hangers to increase the height of the body? Can you turn the back plate of the drum to change the cable location?
  15. Kingswell's would be your best bet for both
  16. Try Adams gas. Bottles are the same size as the medium Boc bottles but you pay a one off deposit for the bottle then just pay for refills. When your finished with the bottle you return it and get your deposit back.
  17. Jcb beaver or the cat equivalent are very good, last week I had a big Hilti side by side with my jcb breaker set and there was no comparison
  18. Found a false arm with pincer hand on a railway embankment in west Sussex. Was called to another job in Kent by the rights of way department and found a ww2 access tunnel from the gun emplacement on the cliff to a nearby fortified house which was pretty cool
  19. use a boundary clamp with a tirfor or hand winch or do what i do and pull it with the winch on truck or til the wheels are spinning on the mog. With 1 set of monkey strainers you wont be able to pull it evenly also remember to tie the wire around the strainers otherwise if the strainers arent in deep and tight it will spin the post if you just use staples.
  20. down here they are called a post saver. heat shrunk plastic wrapper for the post
  21. how come full rounds cant be sweet chestnut mate? we chuck sweet chestnut full rounds from 2" to 10" through a cundy peeler and they come out great
  22. is it full rounds or half rounds your after? sweet chestnut will be alot cheaper than softwood cundy or machined posts
  23. jacksons fencing in kent, they do 25 year warranty but you will pay for the nose, i could supply sweet chestnut posts if your after something a bit more rustic but hard wearing but i reckon the haulage would kill it from kent
  24. King and Stevens plant hire in west Sussex 01403 864487 has towable tw150's for hire. Cost about 85 per day last time I used them.
