  4. I visited a client this week who had tried to glean infomation on how he should proceed with tree work on a forum. The advice he was offered was poor incorrect and certainly did not reach guidelines set out under Bs3998. Had he undertaken the advice given my Lawyer informs me the person who offered this advice would be liable in a court of Law. So before any solutions, fungi idents or opinions are given in the public domain please make sure you are qualified and insured to be giving out this advice. This goes for offering climbing solutions rope and harness set ups and how you would make the work climb yourself. Sorry if this sounds hard but in worse case sinarios could you cope with the legal and psycological issues that would arrise from an accident or incident.
  5. Good afternoon I have a very large oak stem that will need either to be milled or lifted in order to remove. There is a hard road leading to the site. The stem is approx 6ft across and about 12ft long. It is in sussex. I would expect some return on a piece of timber this valuable planted cira 1730. Any offers welcome. Thanks
  6. Take prop off lock diffs should run on front. But wouldnt advise driving to far as you will wind the diff up and smash it in to pieces.
  7. It has a double braided outer sheath 2 twists as opposed to a single strand. Makes the rope run smoothly on hardware without wearing. Wll is increased as well as ctf.
  8. After settling down last year and selling on the practical side of the business to consult I am heading back to contractual work. A contract has come up in se London and I need a man with a van and chipper who can climb at a commercial level. We have tip sites available close by I would expect approx 3 days a week would be required from applicants. All work is in the public domain and as before I expect a high level of work ethic from all employees as well as thick skin and a sense of humour. Climbing will not be everyday as I shall kindly put my saddle back on and do my share. Contract starts with small trees leading on to larger material. I have a good idea what the going rate is and welcome any offers.
  9. Unless i was concerned with the grass i am not sure i would have used rigging just a tag line to ensure large pieces fell in the correct direction. At a push a front lowering point could be used swinging all branches round to the drop zone from over the poly tunnel.
  10. Good evening all Due to my Land Rover blowing a hole through a core plug i am currently unable to tow anything. I could do with a man and a chipper for about 3 hours work on Friday morning. Big clients so reply's must be able to commit 100% to this day or the will hit the fan and i will hunt u down. Please message me with reasonable quotes chippings to be left on site so no take away. Hope everyone is in fine form and climbing safely.

  13. Personally if feel that oragon 4mm files work better on small stihl chains than the stihl variety. I think i posted a huge guide on this years ago Mr Bullman. Follow the angle on the top of the cutter file guides can we a little obstructive while filing gently twist the file. This ensure's maximum contact and balances out the wear across the file diameter oh and make sure the file is sharp and wipe in on ya strides to work out any filings that might be clogging it.
  14. Good luck mate we do a lot of council work but it is usually sub contracted from other large Arb concerns. They have things such as millions of pounds worth of kit, health and saftey officers and all the other trimming required to take on massive contracts. It took as a lot of time and some pretty outstanding work to even get in to the offing.
  15. Where oh where did i see the new type A long trousers for £117 inc vat????
