  1. I really like them but its the sheer weight that puts me off, thats pretty much double what my king hitter weighs!
  2. Thats the thing with those bryce knockers, you dont want one hanging off the back or front when your stuck!! They do weigh!!

  5. yep it does go off, I hadn't used mine for ages then had to put in 1500 nails the other day and it was playing silly buggers, having to press twice before firing. I changed the gas for fresh stuff and it was fine
  6. Well the ruts left by the tractor are upto my knees but I'm still able to drag the trailer out loaded so can't be that bad! We have worked through all the crap weather no bother, not like we are made of sugar and gonna melt in the rain!!

  8. did a job at bedgebury forest for the FC years ago laying the roads and cycle tracks. Rather than a sledge we used a trailed dispenser, it held about 6-8 ton at a time
  9. Got 30 acres of coppice to cut over the next few years so will have plenty of posts, rails and strainers etc
  10. If your after sweet chestnut fencing materials give me a email with what your after and i'll see if i can help you out. Haulage might kill it but if you bulk order or can share a load it might work out another option to pressure treated crap thats for sale at moment.
  11. im in the same boat. Doing plenty of jobs requiring sawn oak posts and bollards and have stacks of oak butts in the yard so looking to convert them rather than buying from the sawmill. We was recently talking about sawing sweet chestnut and dont know how it would behave?
  12. ainscough have got a 1000 tonner that will reach that easy, but you need alot of space for it!
  13. Just remember they don't find it funny when you fill the sample cup brimful!, especially if they have the shakes!! To those whose are childish like me it's funny!!
  14. Learn your phonetic alphabet before you go as it will make life easier! Otherwise it's sign and hazard recognition as well as remembering the distances required for various speeds of track.
  15. i dug out a 30" ash stump recently that was ground as deep as the grinder would go and the stump was still too heavy for the 2.8 ton digger to lift.
  16. Has anyone got any feedback on the various peelers / de barkers that are available? Got plenty of work coming in that requires something to end rails and peel posts, have seen the cundey and posch machines and have had mixed feedback about both. Also if anyone has one for sale let me know!

  20. hope you got plenty of cash for diesel, they like a drink! Turning circle aint much cop either.
  21. i got a few of the galvanised pull out bollards spare in the yard if you are after a few. concrete them in 550mm and put a decent padlock on them it should at least slow the thieving shites down.
