  1. fantastic mate i bet the client was happy they are real works of art.
  2. Possible true but you still get to your destination and a chance of getting sex i cant see the problem!!! as i say horses for courses
  3. Never used one but what price is it? if its half the price of the stihl it will be half the saw, if its the same price buy the stihl. ive had an efco top hander for about 5 years as a back up saw use it when doing conifers but its not a patch on the stihl for sectioning timber, but its fine for stinking conifer hedges and if it gets snaged or dropped who cares. horses for courses mate.
  4. i think that one takes 300kg i have hired them before they are good and once you take the bucket off you have got to be up about 330/340 kg i dont think a small chipper with all the chassis/axle tow hitch removed will be much more than that, good project that i might do it myself and patent it before someone else does:sneaky2:
  5. Thats a great photo, would make a good t-shirt "another day at the office"
  6. cheers guys Nice fences BBB, do you do alot of fencing? i am finding it is making up a big part of my income ( that and decking) more people seem to want one.
  7. Some that ive done recently, most of my fencing jobs are after i fell the hedge and grind it out The last one was not, as not much grows in concrete:001_smile:
  8. It was not supplied with the fun cushions
  9. What about mounting one on the chassis of a muck truck? take the bucket off and put a small timberwolf or a camon (i have a cm250 its light as a feather) and it would be narrow enough to go through gates. one of these stevie: BELLE BMD300 MINI DUMPER TRUCK 4X4 NO MUCK FREEPOST !!! on eBay (end time 04-Sep-09 12:48:16 BST)
  10. This was the first year i have used yell.com its not set the phone on fire but it has brought some work in, it was only a £350 advert and has brought in about £4k so far so quite good, ever one of those jobs went from yell to my site so having my own web site helped. The local paper use to be really good but i dropped my advert as it was not working the van written and recommendations from previous clients is the best way to get work IMO, what works for some may not work for others, all the best what ever you decide.

Some well rubbish days been had on this thread!! Puts it all into perspective when someone close to you dies though, condolences Stevie - sometimes life just seems unfair.
  13. some folk think they can do what they want he is just a bully, i would not let it lie though i would be getting paid, if someone lifted your wallet and took £75 out of it you would be fighting to get it back to me its no different, thats money for my kids. I think SWB way sounds the best to go legal, either that or hit him that hard it puts a left hand thread on his neck

  21. As john says mate, do what YOU feel is right if you want to stay doing trees get flyers out, chap doors, put cards out everywhere by the sounds of it you dont need to make a fortune. But if YOU want to join the forces go for that its your decision these forums are great for advice but all people can do is suggest a path you have to walk it, im sure things will work out, you woke up this morning its been a great day. These things in life are just hurdles mate dont sit down at the first one jump over it and keep moving forward. good luck
