I always post a leaflet through all the neighbours doors advertising our services and apologising for the noise at any jobs i am on, i also staple a laminated card to the outside of any fences i erect saying who done the job. Gets your name about and something always comes in. And i get work through yell.com

  9. When you price a job as a drop cut or drag and when you go back they have had a greenhouse put in under the tree and the garden landscaped!!! i did a crown clean on an oak and the lady had made a chicken run full of chickens within the full drip line, edjit.

  15. i could not keep going with that as it kinda made me out to be the big bad wolf and im a big softie, it was funny though but i got the impression that stevie was getting a bit upset and that felt unfair and not funny anymore, i am more than happy to go along with a wind up but as stevie says he dosent know me personally and i could have been thinking "what a d***" i have done some martial arts and had some fights but i am low level rubbish, i only do it for a laugh, now wheres the tree posts

  18. How long did it take you to chip the canopy mate? quite alot of stuff on ash.
  19. no idea mate i got it at a car boot sale for £50 it was almost new but got sold cause it would not start, someone had put oil in the petrol tank and petrol in the oil tank

  21. looks like an interesting job Andy, whats going in the beds veg? built a few for clients and thats what they always seem to put in them!! everyone wants to be in the "good life" not a bad thing of course.
  22. yep has a decompression button on the engine, i like solid old style saws they seem to take the punishment better from me anyway.
  23. i have a 2165 turbo as well on an 18" bar a great saw with plenty power, no complaints reminds me of my all time favorite husky 266.
  24. if you end up looking like that after using the bells i am sure there will be alot of people visiting you to see the wee chipper or anything else infact:biggrin:
