  1. as always Tom a good video, i like how you show it how it happens and dont edit the glitches that we all get, nice work mate.
  2. i did my own as well, some of the gas liners are class 1 ( so my brother-in-law gas fitter tells me) so in theory you could just hook your wood burner flu into that you may have to re-instate a chimney but thats easy peezy.

The saw running too rich and you are breathing in the fumes
  4. tragic.
  5. i have just bought some online from clarks and will be using them from now on rather than my local saw shop
  6. Cheers for the pm mick. i have been climbing on it right, i think it just dont suit me i will persevere as so many seem to think its the best thing since sliced bread, but will be buying a new split tail to keep in my bag as back up.
  7. thats a good price for that piece of kit. you've done a good job there mate.
  8. looks good mate, how much? i may upgrade from the one i use (i made it years ago) if the price is right
  9. nice job man, that loader looks brilliant what weight is in it?
  10. i have been using it for a couple of months and i can see the massive benefits for slack tendering and limb walking BUT i still dont think i have the technique for ascending into the tree, anyone have a video so i can watch someone climbing on it, the pantin is brilliant though
  11. one of these.. AEBI HC44 Pedestrian Flail mower on eBay (end time 05-Sep-09 17:41:17 BST)
  12. if there is a lot get a self propelled flail mower i used to use an ABI it was brilliant, strimming all day will knacker you, i agree with Buzz though the older 245R huskys were beasts.
  13. Agree there like, huntsmans freak me out i could not believe the size of them:scared1:
  14. Foresters, hand cutting and stacking pallet/pulp all day is a hard shift!! Dodging about as a tree surgeon in someones garden getting cups of tea is a doddle in comparison
  15. 2 other guys and a tractor and pto chipper. And i would break it down a fair bit before i felled it, oh yes i know how much sawdust there would be but i don't mind shoveling sawdust of the tarp, as for the hard slog ringing, i may be another day but i dont mind mate i just put my ipod on and get on with it, nowt last forever. Everyone is different:biggrin:
  16. If you are ringing it up, fell the stem on top of bearers and a big tarpolin as there will be millions of sawdust and its so much easier and quicker to tidy up rather than try and rake the grass. looks like a good job though mate £1100 1 day with help and 2 days myself
  17. quite good value then is there an expiry date on it? i have various digger, mewp etc tickets on LANTRA but they were 5 year tickets so i will have to be re-assessed on them, is the grinder one the same?
  18. the moneys rubbish unless you make the grade, undercard fighters can get paid as little as a grand!!
  19. Are you sure your injury is from working as you lift some heavy weights martyn? I have lots of injuries but i would not contribute any to climbing i would say some of mine came from lifting lumps of timber that should have been cut in half, the injuries i carry came from years of combat sports, but you must be putting massive strain on your body with the weights you lift dont get me wrong its impressive but could be the source of your injuries?
  20. thats what i was thinking i thought they started at £200+.
