  1. Great answers guys, its interesting that what one persons success could be is an another ones stress, as long as its working for you and you are happy that is all that matters and another thing, always try to enjoy life because you are a long time dead
  2. get a bidding war started!! they are in great nick. ;-)
  3. For me its working less and having more time with my family, i dont live an extravagant lifestyle as i dont feel its important. I bond with my kids rather than try to buy or bargain with them, but im genuinely interested in what other members would class as being successful, i know its a tough time in the industry but the fact you are still trading is testament to your own ability, is that alone success to you? Robert
  4. brilliant, good story.

    Recession?

Tree work seems to have slowed quite a bit but getting alot of fencing work so its all good, i think the fencing demand is coming from the rise in crime people want to be more secure.

  7. not want to de-rail the thread as some people cant sleep with the anticipation of rupe's story, i will message you.
  8. he might mean a track barrow mate, some of them carry a quarter to half a ton you have got to watch them on grass though as they are skid steer you can get them for about a grand. no he means that post above me.lol.
  9. no scooby do pics Rich but heres an old school capri running a V8, it will pass the time

  13. brilliant new game "Rorschach trees" some kind of elephant cross moose with one guy abseiling of its back and another waiting his turn oh and a cloud above there head....
  14. The older i get the better i was
  15. some fantastic posts here and i really feel for some of you, i have been lucky to not suffer as much as some but had the usual what if's, but a couple of years ago my brother in law dropped dead at 45!! just went to his work got a cup of tea and dropped he was dead before he hit the floor, we were devastated he left 2 boys and my sister, that changed everything for me i look after my family and spend as much time as i can with them, and as for material things they are nice but i would put a match to the lot and stay in a tent with my family than lose another like that. Each day is a gift thats why they call it the present.
  16. great job and pictures, some brilliant kit there.
  17. Dont stop with your van sign written someone might think you did it
  18. it was lighter than the tub and it held about 3 cube and even full it never "looked" overloaded but the actual weight is anyones guess.
  19. first option looks good but the second is the one that solves the problem for us all:thumbup:
  20. It was really good i wish i had not sold it, i have no pictures though it was a while ago, i built the full chip box in 30x30mm box then sheeted it in alloy.
  21. i done a hi-lux once mate fabricated it from scratch though, i mounted the hinge directly to the hi- lux chassis and built a bed that tipped from that point,i think the transit bed would sit too high up on the ranger chassis.
  22. i am sure there are plenty doing it, this guy might be an exception as he gets more benefits from his son being disabled. I dont think ive seen many on the dole that dont have a big tv and x-box!! getting far too much money handed to them.
  23. I would not worry about that, thats a normal night out in most places i know:001_smile: Log supplier, the kit was all locked away in the storage box behind the tipper they cut the padlock off !! i think these type of opportunist thief's have a good idea if you have a locked box there will be something worth stealing in it.
  24. a guy i know who goes to the local gym him and his wife/3 kids gets roughly £2500 from the state each month!!!! that is taking into account his rent/tax credits/benefits and carers allowance etc etc and thats the problem right there is there is no incentive for those to work if you can bring in that kind of money.
  25. Hi-flex for me, but i do put a pair of light combats over them as above when im doing conifers it saves them quite well, we use to do this when forestry felling as your ballistics got wrecked stacking pulp/pallet wood. Its a good tip.
