  1. looking at the stats it isn't a million miles away from the 200... 5cc smaller engine with 0.3kw less power. Would be pretty nifty I reckon, anyone on here got one..?..use one..?
  2. but he earns you more than 35pounds though right?..For 350 the customer is getting a days work out of 2 men, plus all the kit required, plus waste disposal..That's a good price for the customer. Better than 200 for one man, no stopping to clear up etc..35quid groundie clearing up behind means you will get twice as much done in theory. seriously though, you pay someone 35quid for a whole days graft?
  3. not that the 200 is heavy, but I really like the look of this saw...nice and nimble. What sort of prices do they go for here?
  4. in which case thats a day for 2 men, which is cheaper than The88Man.. 200 for one man hedge cutting is a fair price for both parties
  5. jeez, that looks nasty. NEVER cross your arms when cut and chuck, but I guess you know that. Glad to hear tendons were ok and it will heal well.
  6. Have a quick chat with the crane driver first, use a second climber to go up on the hook and strop lateral branches if easier...and get a groundie to take lots of pics to show us tomorrow night:001_cool:
  7. excellent monkeyd...very nice to see that. The boss was just saying last week that out of 40/50 lads he has had through various firms he worked for plus his own business, only 4 or 5 made it as a climber. W/E should be implemented alot more into a students life.
  8. weird job....nice kit:001_cool:
  9. Very neat mate...
  10. wow, thats a steep incline..
  11. thats one way to avoid the traffic..
  12. wow, thats smart.
  13. jesus...where do you sit?
  14. free beer..?? I'll be there at the apf.
  15. can't help then, I know of a firm building their own chipper/grinders based on machines already on the market but you may mean someone else... you could go and ask them personally at the apf if they are there??
  16. any more info like names.?.places.?
  17. must be terrible for you....
  18. little village near tewkesbury, glos.
  19. guilty.. bloke on ladder was just a random bloke on ladder..
  20. thanks dean...I hope they keep us in mind for next time, pretty sure they will...wants a mewp and hedge trimmer over the next few years and sculpt it into something more aesthetically pleasing and manageable.
  21. bish bash bosh!
  22. is that good or bad.?.. tbh, had high hopes it would look smart when we priced it, looks ok and will grow back fine, but flat top view from the house was unavoidable..
  23. adrian hope tree services supplied traffic lights and groundie...good firm, good bunch of lads.
  24. Wasn't going to post this up as it didn't turn out as well as we hoped it would. Didn't get a pic of the tree before we started but took a few during tea and cake breaks... It was touching the garage roof and the house to the right, was right down to the pavement edge and had been repeatedly hacked to bits for pedestrians to get past etc. It had been topped before in years gone by and was all over the place tbh...we did our best in conjunction with what was possible and what the customer wanted. Traffic lights out by 10am immediately followed by first tea and cake break enough excuses...on with the pics.. raise and reduce yew tree, clearing away from buildings and footpath.
  25. no mate, I took the before with the intention of doing some befores and afters of the 2 trees but the rain was so bad I lost interest on what anything looked like..the jobs in the cotswolds and on thursday it never stopped all day...very depressing. But with the crane on site we had to finish, normally we would have let the job run over with such bad weather. We also lifted a very large yew out that was full of rosethorn...snedding that out was probably the worst thing I have ever done in my life..
