    066 parts

Had a bit of an accident with our old 066 and a lump of cord..(oops ), it's a great saw with plenty of life left in it so would like to keep it together. We need a new handle, chain brake handle, top cover and filter cover. Can anyone give me any tips on where to look...new or secondhand will do. cheers:001_smile: edit...which, if any, 660 parts will fit ??

same as gaynor, never seen that before, what a great idea.!
  7. I haven't John, I'd ask whereabouts it is but tbh my sense of direction goes to pot around that lake. It just goes on forever doesn't it..??..lol, they really put the hours in when they built it thats for sure. Is it woodland side or Croome Court side..??
  8. he was using a canon powershot 7.1mp jobbie...The top pics came out way to dark. I normally do better with just my phone..lol never mind, the last one came out quite well.
  9. couple of pics from Croome Park. The photographer took alot more but they didn't come out very well. The woodland is being made safe for the redevelopment of all the paths. Croome park are at the moment doing alot of work in the previously neglected woodlands, also creating an arboretum which we hope to be involved in soon. anywho, an 80ft pine with a severe lean towards the main footpath...simple shed down avoiding surrounding trees and plantation on edge of path. Apologies for lack of flying top pics but cameraman was rubbish:001_tongue: Does my bum stick out..??
  10. wow, looks like a monster Drew! just a recreational climb was it.?
  11. great pics monkeyd... I have had the privelege of working at some great national trust sites. At Croft Castle and Berrington Hall and Brockhampton Estate and The Weir and a few other more local sites like Croome park, Spetchley Estate and Shrawley estate... It has been the best part of the job to date working at these places. The oaks and chestnuts at Croft are amazing.
  12. Did he..?..I'll have to ask him, we are subbing to him for a week before xmas. They all look a little slack tbh, not really doing much. No, we have never done any work in Abbey park, would like to know who does do it though as it's not the best, we do take care of the limes running along the car parking spaces in front of St. Andrews church though, and the rest of the trees in the churchyard.....big cedar with top ripped out etc...also done some work in the rectory but not much. We take care of Three Springs Road cemetery and some other council sites in the town but would really like to get our hands on the park as well...
  13. you were right about the cobra bracing at croome john...had a walk round the lake today after we had finished and the cable we thought we spotted were in fact 6 or 7 cobra braces...each one has been nibbled by as well by the look of it.
  14. we spotted some cable bracing in a big plane the other side of the lake to where we were..wasn't aware of any cobra bracing though..your handywork.?
  15. I know where that tree is John...used to walk the dog up there all the time when he was a pup, then they started the plantations and put sheep in there...we were working up at croome court today, in the woodland not far from the lake.
  16. 2 great looking bits of kit there mate. You have any other plans for the mog other than the chipper..?
  17. I remember that thread mate. This was certainly on it's last legs. We've been trying to get the landowner to have it done for months and finally he had us do it and a whole load more on his land as well. It's on the edge of a carpark and people walk and drive under it all day. crazy. Love working on oaks, would gladly do it everyday. you can see the spaces on the left and right of the upper crown, there were huge dead limbs there.
  18. no before pics dude, sorry Imagine it full of deadwood, every single branch, one half of the crown was totally dead and it was looking very sorry for itself.
  19. Oak from yesterday morning...
  20. looks good mate, any ivy involved.? I love the difference in appearance a good thin gives.
  21. excellent firewood in my opinion...been burning alot of fruit wood this last month or two and would glady pay for it if I wasn't in the trade. You could easily sell it as a job lot to a firewood merchant.
  22. Matty, what a tester mate...all that ivy and a bunch of phone lines on top just for good measure... nice work.
  23. Sorry to hear you may lose him, must be a gut wrencher. All the best anyway, and if you are in defford over christmas we'll have to have a pint at The Arms..
  24. silvafox, you ever used Jay and Davis crane hire..?? They do alot of Tree Work. Based in Stroud though, not sure how far from you that is. Cranes up to 90t:001_cool:
  25. nice pic... I was destined to have a similar pic today in a weeping beech but the photographer missed it..
