  1. I went to Stoneleigh today and found some interesting points being discussed which I doubt I would ever have grasped by simply reading the standard. It was well presented and worth the time and money.
  2. Put it back in the barn and go back in ten years time
  3. What's a bulker, we have a lorry with hiab.
  4. No one sells logs or has an open fire near Stratford then, I thought this lot would have gone very quickly.
  5. Well it makes a change from 'can you cut my tree down and sell the wood as payment'
  6. Shakespeare country, didn't realise there was one by London
  7. I will have some Poplar, Sycamore, Cherry, Plum, Eucalyptus, Willow and Beech, available wed, thurs Fri next week. I guess there would be approx 5/6 7.5 tonne lorry loads.
  8. I haven't read it all but it is relevant. http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/repository/Agricultural%20Vehicles%20-%20An%20Examiners%20Guide.pdf
  9. Very good, hard to believe it can be done by hand.
  10. Was this at Land Rover Max Stoneliegh today.
  11. I have been in a similar situation myself and possibly may be again one day but for now:thumbup:
  12. [quote=Tom2020;523815 Where about are you as well Wolves, apparantly they are rioting, sorry I mean looting and theiving in the town centre tonight but I doubt it will affect us, they will all be back in bed when we go to work at 7am. My tel no if you want to arrange is 01902 892652.
  13. If you are stuck I have a spare set of climbing kit and a couple of saw's you can borrow until your insurance pay up.
  14. I will be having another practice over the weekend when I have restocked the first aid kit. The rims on the cups is very, very fine, is the wood already seasoned and have you treated it.
  15. They are the ones but I think they got them from the Land Rover show at Billing.
  16. These are the little devils 1 Just cant put them down, made the knife, fork and spoon from an Ash log and the spatula from Hazel. Spatula works, cooked some bacon and egg and tested it, not to sure about the knife and fork though. 2
  17. Had a new knife for my birthday so made a couple of spoons today from a bit of Hazel Top tip, when doing this for the first time keep some clean water and a box of plasters handy:001_cool:. 2 spoons.jpg
  18. But where would you go, it's just as bad if not worse around here. Every transit pick up around the black country is loaded with old scrap or branches, one goes to the scrap yard the other to the local lay-by. Manholes covers go all the time, lead from the same church time after time and even off peoples front porches while they are in the house.
  19. Not all Ivor Williams are 3.5 tonne, some are much less, hard to say from the pic.
  20. We have a job coming up near to Weston Super Mare with good access to the M5, there will be mainly Poplar and Conifer but also Ash, various Fruit trees, Sycamore and Hawthorn. I estimate approx 30/40 tonne in total. You cannot see it yet because they are still growing. Anyone interested in it for firewood before we make plans to chip it.
  21. I need 12 people in all to carry out the work we do, so that means I have to emply 13, the extra one is to cover for holidays, sickness and general days off. Theoretically I will always have some one off work.
