  1. I`m looking for a groundsman in the Stroud area for work as and when i have it. PM me with your details please. Ali
  2. good technnique as long as your aim is good!
  3. What did you do with them after that?
  4. Ant signs of fires close by at some point?
  5. Funny... North Korea to plant giant Leylandii across 38th Parallel | NewsBiscuit
  6. That`s very reasonably priced.
  7. I think considering the cost of replacing bigger bars and chains and the consequences of a 66 chain snapping i`d be inclined to agree. It would be good to work out a way of thickening the rapeseed oil though....
  8. I`ve been watching this one. It`s big in the states (service magic) although i don`t know if it`sthe same company. Why not just google? some do, some people see this as way of getting a few quotes. Some are obvious timewasters, some seem ok. I read there had been problems with the US version because there were alot of fake enquiries so that messed the whole thing up. The idea is good, people put on what they want and you can pay £10 for their contact. Thats cheaper that some advertising. But... i`ve never actually bothered forking out on £200 worth of credit. Be interested if anyone has used it. Pushy sales people always put me off.
  9. I use it on my smaller saws but not with the bigger ones. There was a thread on one of the US forums about using rapeseed oil. There were guys on there using it for a long time.
  10. Yes, after being informed, the owner is liable for the trespass.
  11. You need to formally notify them ie in writing, of the damage and ask them to sort it out. They are not liable for damage they were not aware of but are liable for damage they are aware of.
  12. One that tips enough for the chip to actually fall out.
  13. The soles fell off the last pair of Haix i had in about four months which turned out to be a manurfacuring fault but it was too late to get an exchange. My current pair have done the same as yours but they are lasting ok. Try going back to where you got them and at least telling the seller so they know this sort of thing can happen.
  14. Not having driven it i couldn`t tell you.
  15. My mate has one of those, its a splendid truck. Carries well but isn`t too bad at getting into small spaces. I`d like one of them next.
  16. I used Yell for two years and got very little back.
  17. In the past i`ve stuck a flyer through the door with a note saying what i think the problem is and telling them to call me or one of the many other good tree surgeons around. You have then warned them without doing the door knock and it`s down to them.
  18. Its not a drop feed is it? If it is they are a real pain...
  19. Is it unsound? If it needs bracing then is too close. If its in good condition then it doesn`t need bracing. If you`re not a consultant and are in doubt then get a consultant`s report.
  20. I do most of my apps by email. I almost never get any kind of acknowledgement from the tree officer. When six weeks have past since i sent the application in, i check my sent box to make sure it went in and then send another letter saying six weeks have passed and so i intend to carry out the work. Sometimes i get a reply to that. Sometimes not. It just means there is written evidence that an application has been sent in. That system seems to work for the particular tree officer i mostly work with.
  21. I think i`d second that. If you are not qualified as a consultant then it could be more trouble than its worth.
  22. I use 9mm x 610mm Tennex eye to eye prussik. Its ideal for the friction hitch i use.
