  1. Thanks, Vermeer Viking are at a machinery show 10minutes from my house next weekend, so will have a look there
  2. Thanks, but i think i live a bit far away for you guys to give a demo
  3. Vasine in the nose is really effective, air waves chewing gum, fisherman friend etc help open the airways/clear the nose, sun glasses help the eyes too
  4. It's the king of firewood in sweden
  5. Go to the dr Steve. They gave me pills that were 18 times stronger than over the counter stuff. The honey thing also helps, but you need to start months in advance
  6. How long? 11.5 meters is my record
  7. But that extra 3.5k is only a few days work for a decent team, or, a few days down time for breakdowns, repairs, MOT test, re-test.
  8. Are you sure it isn't just belt tension/worn/stretched belts? Just had a look and play on mine, again, radiator slopes to the left. Loosened off the two lower bolts pictured (one shiney the other hidden by the pipe), jacked engine up, radiator level but belts loose. The rhs engine mount acts as a pivot
  9. Anyone have any views/experience on these please? looks to be the same machine as a 272, now called 292, but 9hp more...
  10. Because they'll think that you are creaming the nice jobs off for yourself, that you're potentially refusing competitions TPO applications, but pushing your own ones through. Unless you go round all the local guys and explain you're going to be refusing any work in the county you're employed in, which isn't exactly believable tbh. From personal experience of what the guys i used to work with thought about a TO in similar situation.
  11. Might be fine with the council, but local guys will resent you Single/double wheel, doubles hold the weight better, less wallowing about when full. singles sometimes have a higher legal payload. Imo doubles from a drivers perspective.
  12. I had similar (i think going by your description) with my jensen. just took a hacksaw to the socket
  13. Everyone except for dillinger seems to be on the same page there are higher plated vans the same foot print as regular vans, iveco daily, cabstar, grafter to name a few. But most are greedy and want more capacity if going bigger, which in turn leads to still being overweight.
  14. But if your on your weight limit you're not at 1/3 capacity If everyone ran legal, either smaller loads in small tippers or running big vehicles and pricing accordingly it'd weed out a lot of the "competition"
  15. Surely it only takes one not to be "safe" to be the last thing you do?
  16. I spent the day milling with the 880, and riding my dirtbike round and round and round and round the garden, neighbours are over-rated
  17. That'll sweeten the deal!
  18. It's an awesome tree!
  19. Fair enough, he liked his
  20. A mate had a hilux surf, with the rear seats removed, made a good van alternative
  21. Shall i be even more smug? Got it free Even wet ropes are bone dry in an hour. Certainly is nice to use dry kit. What about an old full height fridge or metal cabinet/school lockers with a electric fan heater in the bottom and a 9 inch hole in the top? (mines supposed to have some 9inch dia flexi pipe going out the top to outside, but without, it heats the workshop a little bit) Wouldn't have thought you'd need to insulate, you just want circulating hot air. Ive tried de-humidifiers before, even after a whole night, kit is still wet.
  22. This might be a bit of a radical idea joe, but how about an actual drying cabinet?! Might save you from setting fire to the outside of the garage!
  23. Its an Eder titan 80, 25tons lift capacity, quite pricey yes, rrp is 490+vat, tbh, I've wanted a hydraulic one for a while, but they're serious money! its a nice gadget, thats actually proving really useful for my kind of work
