  1. Looks good! Rhubarb, beetroot, spuds, onions, radishes, strawberries, raspberries, broad beans, peas, sweet corn, lettuce all surviving the slugs, carrots haven't
  2. No, what should it be?
  3. Dropped my 201 out the tree (strop broke) Broke the handle, replaced it, in the process stripped one of the yellow earth(?) wires out its cover, bodged it with a bit of new wire of slightly larger diameter (loosened the magneto(? black box next to the flywheel) in the process) all back together, it fires but runs half arsed and lumpy, like a 4cyl diesel running on 3cylinders. Is it a computer reset problem? or the magneto? the slightly thicker wire? or something else? any ideas appreciated
  4. Went to Monaco with a mate a few years aga on motorbikes, tried to plan the trip in detail, but ended up no plans at all, took the ferry, over to the alps, and down. Beautiful scenery. Never had any problem finding hotels to stay at. The way back, we took the Autoroutes up the middle, that was pretty boring tbh!
  5. 95' = mk3, non turbo. I went from a defender to an 89' MK 3, so much nicer to drive! Lacks grunt on hills or towing but would sit at 80, tough and reliable

    Mini Artic

lowest weight is 3360kg with just 20 liters of fuel in that link full tank and driver would be 3.5t. add a 5th wheel coupling = ??? plus the nose weight of the trailer and 3.5t was a long long time ago! Then going back to your first post, add a passenger, kit, crane behind the cab...... I think your original idea was best and most realistic, iveco or sprinter based mini arctic on a pre 97 BE

Hows that work on a car license then? You said in your first post you believe you are limited to 12t GTW? Now you're back to 7.5tonner with trailer, not a 3.5t and 5th wheel?

  10. Hi Charlie! I've the 75l as a bit of a rigging bag, home to a 50 or 60m 16mm rope, with just enough space left for bollard pulley whoopie and dead eye sling plus few carabiners Much prefer these arbpro bucket bags to the dmm porter range
  11. Ive one (2007 machine) with a sloping removable hopper, not the fold up hopper. underneath, on the join is a metal tab on the hopper, and a push in sensor on the main body of the machine. Mine had the same symptoms as yours when i got it, the tab must have been bent slightly during transport as the hopper was off.. if this is a new problem, maybe just cut the wires and join together? I managed to wedge a washer in there to test it, then bolted a piece of metal in as a temporary, now permanent fix
  12. Could be the Sensor under the feed hopper, make sure it's being pushed in enough (try wedging something in there or just bypass it
  13. £100 quid more than a tree motion isn't much. I wear out a tree motion in just over a year, so if this lasts a few months longer (certainly looks beefier in the pictures) then it'll work out cheaper.
  14. Really sad news, such a genuinely nice guy, Thoughts to his family x
  15. It was a grey area here as well, but now anything with a separate load bed is commercial. Nr of seats is irrelevant.
  16. The V6 amorak goes like stink! Doesn't feel like a work motor though, motorway mile eater yes.
  17. Thanks, Vermeer Viking are at a machinery show 10minutes from my house next weekend, so will have a look there
  18. Thanks, but i think i live a bit far away for you guys to give a demo
  19. Vasine in the nose is really effective, air waves chewing gum, fisherman friend etc help open the airways/clear the nose, sun glasses help the eyes too
  20. It's the king of firewood in sweden
  21. Go to the dr Steve. They gave me pills that were 18 times stronger than over the counter stuff. The honey thing also helps, but you need to start months in advance
  22. How long? 11.5 meters is my record
  23. But that extra 3.5k is only a few days work for a decent team, or, a few days down time for breakdowns, repairs, MOT test, re-test.
