  1. @Phil_G Your current job sounds very interesting with a good, varied career path ahead of you. Id think twice about leaving it for arb, especially the UK arb scene.
  2. First of all it should not have needed a new carburetor after just one winter idle. Was it a new saw when you purchased it?
  3. If it’s still in warranty I wouldn’t be paying anything. They should be fixing it so it looks like it should or replacing it. their “good will gesture” or pay 500 quid is what you’d expect outside of the warranty period.
  4. Thanks for the responses. Got a bit more info on it, 990kg load capacity, quite good for its size! 2,1l engine-sounds a bit small and seems prone to problems 2800kg towing capacity, same as hilux and would like more tbh The engine size and tow capability seem a bit weak. A 3.0l engine and 3.5t tow capacity and I’d be very tempted. Think I’ll stick with the super reliable (touch wood) hilux for now.
  5. Anyone any experience of a 2012 model 316cdi 4x4 sprinters? Reliability. fuel consumption, cruising speed, towing ability etc Im loosely thinking about this one pictured. I drive a lot, towing a 12ft tipping for and tracked jensen about 40% of the time currently with a hilux, but the extra load space on this would be a big bonus. 4x4 is (unfortunately) essential, for towing in the snow and ice, and even just reversing up a gravel hill into my drive.
  6. The new bandit! 38hp tracked zt1844
  7. A loan machine unfortunately, my new one arrives in December hopefully!
  8. Heavy reduction on a lime
  9. Because then you need a tracked chipper (lots more £££) to save taking two vehicles, and its a right ball-ache when you can't get the chipper and the chip on the trailer and you have to make a return trip just for the chipper. Trust me, Ive a double cab hilux, towing a 12ft (8m3) trailer with a tracked chipper, more than a 3rd full of chip and theres no space for the chipper. A single cab 4x4 pickup with 4-5m3 chip capacity and standard 6" chipper would be better for a lot of small works, lighter rig to tow (less fuel) smaller rig etc. Even if you had to tip twice in a day, its still the same km driven as my setup. They've got their place in the market imo
  10. How are you getting on with the Dolmar's (?) that you brought Steve?
  11. His own Silky golden star mini secataurs
  12. A lot of the replys here give strong reason to exactly why trailers should have annual MOT's imo
  13. Gonna stop a lot quicker with the brakes on though isn't it! What do you mean about the shopping trolly?!
  14. I think you can forget the vat thing altogether mick, even if they charge it you just claim it back. (I've no idea how it works either but my accountant does!) they might not not be able to sell directly to a country which already has a distributor though.
  15. Why? All other eu purchases have been they don't charge the vat, I don't pay it but still declare it. if they charge it, I pay it but ask the U.K. For it back (I'm vat registered)
  16. The ZT yeah? Put another 10k on for the scandinavian price
  17. Sounds good, how much is one over there?
  18. The ZT? 14k? How are you getting on with it?
  19. Its been done quite recently, I think there was a thread on here linking it to the treehouse site where they shared all the info to make you're own Just found it: http://www.treebuzz.com/forum/threads/electric-log-and-brushcart-treegoat.36158/

    Bracing

It was 8-9years ago so may remember wrong, but I think it was replaced as there was no date of installation recorded/present. Replaced with cobra with those date disks they used to do and a light reduction.

    Bracing

Mullberry in Ely cathedral...i replace it with cobra
  22. Crikey! Whats the weight limit on the mill? What model is it?
  23. So with your 600kg trailer with its 2600kg load, 3200kg total weight you'd still be able to have 560-675kg load on the truck if my maths is correct
