  1. Zubat 330 curved
  2. Very realistic, will be well out the way though. A quick look shows 250 farms and houses for sale under 30k, 25 farms under 30k. 1 farm for 12k with 3.5ha land. A guy i worked with a bit, got given a cabin on the norwegian border for free! His then girlfriends dad wanted to sell it as never used it, estate agent wasn't interested as it was "worthless" so he gave it to the guy if he promised to make use of it! Wheres your forest Stefan?
  3. Something to do with the oldies license rights perhaps? where you can drive upto 7.5t vehicle and tow upto 3.5t trailer but combined can't be more than 8250. 6.5t truck would give 1.75t trailer allowance
  4. I looked at the 7.5ton Isuzu at the APF, had a steel brittip body on (not high arb sides) 3.7ton payload As per page 12-13 Isuzu Heavyweights Brochure 30k plus vat iirc.
  5. Great day! Up before dawn, felled 4 trees in a churchyard with a crane, 1 piece, 5 pieces, 4 pieces and 3 pieces, done in 3 hours with coffee break or two. quick bonus job, picked up supplies, washed the truck, home to collect fishing gear, then the garage for some hotdogs, picked up my boy a hour early from nursery, went fishing and had the hotdogs for dinner at the lake
  6. I found them to be borderline too tight at first, but quickly loosened up, even needing a belt
  7. Don't be shy
  8. Do they come with rear diff lock as standard in the uk too?
  9. I think it's dead cool, but I can imagine I'd wake up in the mourning, my missus would come home after doing the graveyard shift, and say she wouldn't be seen dead in that
  10. Looking for a capable climber for the 2nd and 3rd week in October to help out a 1 man band. Working area northern Stockholm, Uppsala and Norrtälje. Normally 4 companies hire in one-another as and when extra climbers are needed, just now we all want each other hence the need for extra help. You may be hired out to one of these other companies. Basic accommodation provided (unlikely to be in a town or city I'm afraid, but direct buss service to Uppsala, and possibility of seeing the northern lights/moose in the area if the planned accommodation is still available). Must have basic relevant qualifications under 5 years old. Driving licence desirable, as is heavy trailer. If all goes well, could lead to regular short or long stints, plus company vehicle. Payment preferably as a UK subby (Provided Brexit hasn't affected the rules yet!) or on the books, tax paid in Sweden. Wage dependant on ability. Preference given to those who can send a professional email to [email protected] Thanks!
  11. I've a 3.0 auto, done 25k in a year, get a steady 28mpg mixed driving and towing my big ifor tipper with wood/avant/chipper about 20% the time. No complaints although I do think a chip would reallyrelease the engines potential. I got used to the auto after the first week (my first auto) and it's a pleasure to drive.
  12. My mistake, sat in Toyota now for a service, 3500 for single and extra cabs produced after oct 2016 Sorry for the derail
  13. . The new HiLux due by the end of the year will have 3500kg towing capacity I believe. They have had the higher limits abroad but apparently it was Toyota UK who were not prepared to warrant the higher limit. Things have obviously changed. Its only 3200 here in Sweden to, pretty daft imo
  14. There's very good reasons why old hilux's and rodeos hold their money. Yeah sure you might get a good warrenty on the Great Wall steed, but doesn't help with down time, inconvenience etc. Stop looking at numbers on papers and start looking at reputation No point in "saving" money today only to be throwing away more tomorrow
  15. Personally with the 550/560 options, i think the 550 is best suited on a 13-15"bar, great for soft wood felling. The 560 on an 18" is more of an Arb allrounder
  16. Nice Reg, Do you do a full cleanup too or leave it for the customers to deal with once down?
  17. Recently done the Swedish Saw certs, their advice is the tooth needs 4mm left on the side plate (at its narrowest) and 2 mm on top plate (at its narrowest) to be considered safe. Personally id keep using that chain
  18. MEWP??? what an undignified end
  19. Exactly!
  20. Same protection as here, protect the stem from bucket damage whilst piling 10tonns of gravel on the root zone At least the tree looks undamaged after!
  21. Scary Jrose! Over here, to do the BE licence, you have to pass a theory test first, some snippets of info from the book about nose weight: Empty, nose weight on the tow car is "normally" recommended around 30-50kg, loaded 70-90kg you can use your bathrooms scales and a stick to measure the nose weight. If you have negative nose weight (back heavy) and are stopped by the police, you will not be allowed to continue your journey-its that dangerous! Years back working with a mate, we had an 18ft(?) trailer with tw150 on, and a load of wood, couldn't go above 30 without it snaking, moved a handfull of rings from the back of the trailer to the front and even a few onto the back of the truck and could then easily do 60.
  22. The metal cross bar helps stop the sides flapping about when unladen as much, and stops them bowing out when full, 10 seconds to remove it though. fwiw Id defiantly go solid sides and get the aluminum ramps
  23. Didn't you used to slate timber wolf or "tinny wolf" as I think you used to refer to them, at every chance you got a year or so back?
