  3. so 500cube=approx 1000 dumpy bags (as an example)=10bags a day at £50 a pop=£500 a day, 2.5k week, 10k month, 50k oct-march give or take, correct? -20k wage, -5k return on initial investment=25k for overheads/buying in timber correct? say 2 cube to the green tonn= 250 tonn of wood needed a year say £35 tonne delivered 250x£35=£8750 sound right? if so the rest of youre money needs to be spent on wood now youre left with 16k for other overheads/running costs/tax sound correct give or take?

  5. ok thats as basic as it gets, what i mean is this 1)how many dumpy bags will it take so acheive a 20k wage, after fuel, maintenance, breakdowns, insurance, advertising, tax, and outlay of wood has been paid? 2)how much seasond wood would you need to acheive the above? 3)how much have you currently got split, stacked and seasoning intime for start of sales in october next year? (the answer is point 2 minimum)

  10. its easier than you think, with ours you have to reverse it in as if youre reversing round a corner, so you can see the chipper in a mirror, i do it on a daily basis with wither a transit,7.5tonner, or 18 tonner hiab lorry. aslong as the chippers wheels are in 1 man can easily do it. might need some lighting or good work lamps wired into youre reverse lights for when its dark though

  14. i have a ND in countryside management, i instantly got a job with the rspb (although my felling experience was a large part in getting the job) i was fencing, coppicing and herding, pay was 13k per year. the people on the conservation side of our reserve had degrees in ecology ect, and were on 13k-17K per year, reserve manager around 25K people i went to college with who went on th the HND and degree, one has gone back to the family farm, one works in tescos, and the other is desperatly trying and getting knocked back for teaching jobs whilst working behind a bar its a lifestyle choice imo, as the pay is quite frankly rubbish, although the rent of £20 a week was a bonus!
