  1. the info came straight from my local mot tester who has just done a up date course and this was part of a up date amongst other items.
  2. seized or part seized brake caliper or a bent track rod if you been driving off road.
  3. yes they are doing it on mot time as well as testing the trailer light sockets work ok this due to the fact that the tow bar and fixings are now part of mot checks. the new ecu tests are due to the theory that increased power=overworked brakes and also having it remapped = modified vechile an may be not declared to to insurance companys....... [get out clause if you need to make a claim]! me think eu stinks.
  4. as from 2012 re mapped motors[ecu] is a automatic mot failure! more eu madness.

  6. hi, just building a road tow splitter useing a 8hp petter diesel engine[hand start x dumper engine]only down side is that its a heavy lump of engine.Fuel wise about 3/4 gallon per 8 hours !.
  7. no way been there ,done that ,seen sense. hunting these days is mainly full of over weight ,toffee nosed people who carn't ride very well .i shall be muck spreading our fields when the hunt expects to come through ha ha ha!.more importantly is these so called hunt followers driving around in there RR sports cars blocking up the lanes for us locals, also with our local hunt there is about 4/5 pratts ripping up down the lanes on quads ..... no tax ,no helmets ,no reg numbers on them and riding 2up.....how do they get away with it beats me! .
  8. hi,had a delivery of heating oil on thursday after waiting for one week.... price was 50.9p liter for 1000 liters .
  9. hi, thanks for your replys but im not milling just normal use , but there is more dust getting thro to the engine than i would like or more than any other Stihl saw i've got. My filter is not blue brillo type so a trip to the dealers or phone one who advertise on Arbtalk to see if they have the part in stock.
  10. hi, got a ms660 and i dont know what the heavy duty air filter looks like as my current filter appears to let a little saw dust thro.Current filter consists of a oval shaped plastic filter with a flatish type filter behind it.Is this set up standard or hduty? If its not hduty does any body know the Stihl part no.The saw is less than six month old and i would like to keep it a while... hence not wanting saw dust in the engine! [ god knows why Stihl havent adressed this matter].
  11. my 110 tdi used to do 27-30 mpg, are you sure that you havent got a fuel leak, or your injectors need a service? Also if its fitted with the wrong sized tyres your speedo will read wrong hence low mpg figures.
  12. ha,i used to get 20 mpg on my 110 v8 and that had a bit of poke about it! all my current landys run on bfg muds.
