  1. if you go for a conventional cambium saver, id go for one with an oval mallion + big eye rather than a little eye + big eye, as stitched eyes dont fit through a little eye, but do fit through an oval mallion
  2. bits- rope stuff plastic spacer things protective sheath (to be cut to size) dildo lube if its the older stuff circular date tag-possibly shrink wrap shrink wrap an end of the rope stuff (i cut rope to length in the tree) insert plastic things into rope by opening rope by pushing together, slide over protective sheath which youve cut to size to suit the limb/trunk, wrap round trunk/limb with spacer against limb/trunk, tail needs to be long enough to be inserted about a foot, taken out, a small loop made and inserted again for a bit, and pull end out a few inches insert dildo in middle, use lube if tight offer up other end of rope to and around limb, slide over date tag if applicable, insert plastic thing, then cut to size, repeat as above i find electric tape better than shrink wrap, and inserting as much as possible of spacers/dildos before i go up-easy enough to slide them along if not in right place
  3. A high profile council tree on the edge of a park(?)? IMO because of the shape, it looks butchered. . . sorry! A deadwood, balance remaining crown to shape and remove ivy would have been my spec
  4. was a good night, cheers phil for organising it, and justin for the raffle! marks a true drunken legend!
  5. light reduction and boa/cobra brace? is knocking it back hard not an option? (question aimed at anyone!)

  14. i sell big rings (18inch ish dia) ready for splitting for £40 for a lr 130 load (approx 6ftx8ftx2ft) of green ash (sat for 6 month still green inside) pay as little as you can!
  15. i do like them, i think anything with tracks is ace! but for day to day work for us at the moment, we might only need a tracked machine 3 or 4 days a year, id definatly be open to giving it a 2nd chance . . perhaps on a weeks demo though
  16. it was a demo machine with not many hours on either-if i thought it was far superior to the 150, we'd have got it, but i thought the performance compared to a 150, and the downsides of a tracked machine wernt worth getting it
  17. same i guess found that the rollers kept getting jammed, was over a year ago now, but remember not being overly impressed with it comparing it to the 150, i thought i should have been more impressive than i was
  18. the future
  19. ah ok, agree infeed hopper is a pain. although i wasnt overly impressed with the 190 (tracked) in chipping capability in comparison
  20. having only used a 190 for a day, but a 150 every day, what are the problems its rectified?
  21. cheers rob! i know youre way works so i'll use it
  22. give that van a wash! thanks 18 stoner, best make a start on my box this week, any tips from you??!!
  23. rob, what was that drill bit you had for drilling out blanks to hide the screw heads called? gonna have to build a lean too now to store the wood, making too many planks, and storing in sheds there isnt enough wind flow to prevent mould!
