  2. cambridge area?
  3. isnt the husky lid, and possibly the above lid, not suitable as tree climbing helmets now need to be tested for side impact protection?
  4. 200 460 660 880, the two id like to see performance upgrades in most would be the 200, but also the 880, id guess the 66/88 would be the easiest because of their size
  5. i hate re-topping connys, fair play to you boys!
  6. Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!

  9. we just hire some traffic lights out from a local tool/plant hire company for £50 quid a day, inc T/L signs & the STOP HERE signs. and use our own cones/blue arrows/men at work signs go for battery operated ones rather than generator ones as battery dont have any wires on the road

  15. well someones got to test these new ideas, good on you! personally, imo, as its aim is for nature and ecological benifits, id like to see more dead wood in the crown some how. certainally intresting

  17. id be looking for a mot faliure 200tdi disco mate, which has failed on something other than the engine, but which is still running and driveable so you know the engines running well. the swaps been done plenty of times so im sure its well documented on the net. tried Land Rover Owner International magazine - lro.com ? and pay youre mechanic mate to help you do the mods, sell anything of use from the remaining discovery, and scrap the rest-get a few quid back if not, break it . . . how much for the wheels??
  18. diddnt even notice it had a load on! no change in sound when it was tipping-diddnt struggle a bit prob helps that the weight is over the rear end more because we cut the front off the original tipper bed. lets hope it doesnt bend the chassis again! think i'll need to fit some heavier duty springs though for any bigger loads, or inserts
  19. could it be an idea to ring the bark say a foot below the fractures to increase the ecological niche habitat? and to give a stag headed look? my only problem with this particular example is that if someone had done the same % reduction on the oak, but instead of fractures just cut the branches the once, it'd be a topped tree, and we'd be slating it, e.g http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/picture-forum/27-general-tree-pics-423.html#post199326 seems to be a fine line between bad arborcultural practice, and cutting edge ecological benifits ?
  20. so are the internal epicormics a good thing david?
  21. sugar maple-Acer saccharum
  22. quick update, doesnt look any different, but the hydraulics are now all plumbed in, cheapest way possible! 2nd set of new rear lights went on-1st set melted as too close to exhaust hydraulic bits and oil have now doubled the cost of converting to £170 give or take before the new year i hope to have new wheels and tyres, build the chip box and have had the tool box in the gap between the ram and the power pack fabricated thanks again to steve, and sorry to trisha for steeling him in the evenings
