I'd say your brave asking that question which has been asked countless times before with an almost infinite number of answers deriving from the many variables of business model, client, equipment, overheads, experience and profit margins. Good luck getting the answer you Want
  2. Ow yes that would be so good with a fast tow trailer behind as well.
  3. A fellow sufferer off the dreaded spell checker, correct spelling of the wrong word is quite common with me too although helping my kids learn has helped me as the way they are taught now is so much better. We have had Christmas tree (a cedar) and conker tree on work specs before now.
  4. Nice 1 ham, so like our house it's unreal!
  5. Looked it but my frozen body said different, realy weird climbing in a tree full of leaf and ice on top of the branches, the cold was a bonus as got truck rite into the tree instead of getting stuck in the slop of the building site, getting out after it thored a bit almost got interesting!
  6. Worked with a lad like that who would disappear for a week at a time and when asked where he'd been he'd have no idea but proudly show you a new tat he couldn't remember getting but just found 1 morning. Had another lad who liked licking random stuff like sticks, van doors even a gate post for no apparent reason always worried 1 day he'd try a spinning chainsaw chain!
  7. Big uke to remove today. Was a man down so had to bosh a load and come down and help clean up, 14m of chip and not sure on logs as had a steady stream of wood vultures thankfully having the timber away, was just left with the main trunk to remove which was quite a size.
  8. You'll tend to find those who can provide all the paperwork for some of the council contracts are big anough to have an administrator to do all the paperwork but staff who on the most part have never seen any of it. Funny thing is I'm a authorised county council contractor but was unable to forfill all the ludicrously long winded criteria for our town/district 2 year pre qualification questionnaire 180pages worth which only counted as 40% of your overall score I believe and 60% on price calculation format. I know some of the TO's were not happy about how it was done.
  9. Looks like you have a shorter tether on your wrench now, any chance you could post a decent pick of how you have it set up as really fancy trying the same setup. Cool job and nice video.
  10. Would need an excavator to lay them out but can't get 1 in at moment for the earth pile nd the pain was I'd hired in the tracked machine knowing the ground was soft so would require another hire once we could get to everything, luckily I'd done some indepth terms for this job and it said changes would be renegotiate but the original bill was still to be settled, or words to that affect, got to speak to head man at the development company on Friday as it was with him the job was arranged but also included the contracts on site who had a play with the diggers knowing fine well I was coming 3 days later to do them, ah well will let you know how I get on.
  11. Not happy turning up on a site to grind out a whole bunch of stumps to find a helpful digger driver had dug out some of them into a heap, buried some under a pile of soil and just left about 8 that I could get at. Only priced them last Wednesday and site manager couldn't see the problem. Now apparently I've got to get rid of the stumps as that's what they got us in to do, going to cost em more for sure!
  12. That's fantastic, really has personality and the face is very good, like it a lot!
  13. Don't joke I have spotted a tree work website with a few very good work videos on it which are not his and from someone from a totally different country in fact claiming them to be his. To the op, good video and I'd just be frank and ask him if he's happy to pay for its use and ask what he's thinking of as you'd quite like to use the money to get more stuff to do more vids that you could also sell to him to use, get a nice little side line going.
  14. 1540 odd tickets sold, fantastic for the trust not so good for my odds of winning, definitely going to have to get a few more now.
  15. Sunny, clear blue sky's - it won't last!
  16. Eventually got mine sorted, might sneak a few more yet. Well done Steve, should be a good total with the addition of that 200t boosting interest!
  17. Now your being ridiculous! Bottle of aspen please, nothing but the best for this saw!!
  18. Don't worry, one of my groundsmen did that on the map book while we were rushing out to a call out, should have seen his face when he realized I had seen him do it, classic!
  19. Should be a weapon once it's done, that crane gives you a decent reach! Looking forward to following this thred as your built comes together.
  20. Was mendiplogs looking for 1, send him a pm
