  1. Matt cardels rope saddle I think, big money but fully rebuildable so in theory the last harness you'll ever buy.
  2. My tangle fairy is definitely an exhibitionist as when no 1 is watching she can't be arsed and the lines fine but as soon as someone else is watching WAM megger tangle to show off her loopy angry knot skills!!
  3. 🌲AW TREES Professional arborists
  4. Enjoyed that, cool editing really need to learn the overlay technique!
  5. Gives a location which gives confidence like having a landline number of your advert
  6. Just recently I've had way too many of the things but always for the little jobs or logs which is low value for the hassle of putting them in and paying for the privilege.
  7. But with the machines you don't need your paying in book so no stubs to fill in, that's exactly what I do when doing it old-school and handing them to a cashier in the rare occasions there is 1.
  8. Looks good, quite fancy 1 now I've seen it working. Do you run the splitter of the tracked barrow?
  9. But why can it not simply say on my online statement Check payment - Mr J Smith - £475 Surely they know where the money came from and they do charge me for the privilege of using 1 of the darn machine to put the money in, at least you get an email you can print out/ save for your accounts I get a scrappy bit of paper I can hardly read.
  10. Pain in the posterior when I want a bottle of wine and a girl half my age has to come and verify I'm old enough to get it! The paying in machines in my bank piss me off giving a photo copy of each cheque I put in which I either loos or need to staple into my paying in book so I don't, you'd think with this fancy technology it'd show on your account who that individual check was from and how much each was rather than, non cash paid in.
  11. The warrior winches are good, we have 2 s1200's on the landys and have stood up well to hard Graft we give them.
  12. I think that's quite an exceptable strength for winching work if all your pulling is poles from thinning as it's not realy the power of the winch but what it's pulling and over/through what. Would have been so much nicer carrying 6 of those up the hill's we used to winch off rather than the chains we had. Easy enough to splice some up from some tennex from most of the gear company's on here to give it a go.
  13. Do we get a discount on next membership for t lack of journals last year Paul?
  14. This was nearly 20 years ago and the owner was unlikely ever to consent to such extravagant expenses before this happened, about a week later we got 1 but was crap and could hardly find the forklift never mind a bit of mettle 8" into a tree, I think ones you get now are significantly better.
  15. Can not be as bad as some Baltic pine we had into sawmill when I did my aprentaship for a special order that required very close growth rings, was full of 2nd world war shrapnel which was incredibly hard stuff and very good at stripping the teeth of the band saws, scary stuff when your operating it. Remember the boss saying he'd lost hundreds on that order because of it.
  16. That's why every fencing contractor, builder, well actually nearly every other trade iv come across gives estimated prices which in my personal experience is less than what they end up trying to invoice for because of something that they found and hadn't allowed for. Strange most people except that from some trades but when a tree company round here started doing it and undercutting everyone with estimated prices then inflated invoices they didn't last long!
  17. Had this 1 but at least I could see them. Had cast iron tree guard 18" into a tree before which wrecked a few chains and a lot of grinder teeth but sometimes you just got to take it as much as it hurts unless it's obvious that it's contaminated. We did some along a river edge and I new we would destroy a few chains and possibly bars on all the grit in the bark and cavitys so itemised this on the quote but said if we got lucky I wouldn't charge it, 5 chains later job done and clients were happy to pay as they realised it was going to be a problem.
  18. Don't think even wellies would have kept me dry on a few recent jobs, should have got a set of waders but ended up putting some old boots on and just getting wet, not plesent but needs must. Found wellies ok for snowy days as good grip and with a set of hunter liners in quite warm but never comfortable for long periods.
  19. Fast tow simply means that, they can be towed at Road legal speeds and the tires and hubs are rated so.
  20. Not sure I'll have to try track it down again, it's a while since I looked at them.
  21. That's 1 of my thoughts at the moment using the digger but means you always have to make a trip back to site to collect the machine or run a second vehicle. If I'd seen one for a sensible 2nd hand price I'd definitely be tempted, you were lucky for sure! Think this looks a nice set up from Germany.
  22. That last picture looks a little top heavy! Very handy looking kit, would work well with my landys for sure but the new price just puts me off a bit when for similar money other options present themselves.
  23. You will be lucky to get a truly tidy 1 for less than 10k as a decent landy without the mewp is worth that, I'd looked at plenty of dulux machines before getting mine, you need a landy in top structural condition or all that weight will snap it apart when your traveling around! Cost wise, lola inspections twice a year at 250-300 each time. Insurance, mine has a dual policy for road use and then 1 that covers it when it's working which is so variable I'd make some calls before you look much more. Running costs are like any other vehicles sometimes they will run for months and cost you fuel only then they will decide to cost you a few k in repares all at the same time. Mpg is lower as it's effectively fully loaded all the time. Wouldn't be without mine now!
