  1. More than you think. Wasn't it about 480 kgs? ..... Woodworks did a guess the weight thread not that long ago.
  2. That's better. Even at the start, I didn't think he was a complete robber.
  3. So do you think the seller's a crook or genuine and was duped into buying the fake and still thinks it's real? I can't make my mind up.
  4. He must have been new. Give him 6 months in the job and fall in line with the "we're not happy until you're not happy" customer service.
  5. Yes they do, but I don't need any. I like older style carabinas. My favourite was at least 10 years old when I found it
  6. My mate's got Nokian WR SUV3 in 255/60 R18 112H XL on his. He bought a second set of Nissan alloys, so swaps over in the winter rather than having them remounted on the same wheels. Says they are good in snow/slush, but not good in mud as you'd expect.
  7. The new(ish) BF Goodrich AT KO2 have got the "snowflake on the mountain", and I've got them on my Hilux, but I was wondering what they'd be like on UK slushy roads.... now I know! A mate has got the same truck as you and fitted proper winter tyres. Will find out what they are. I've always like Continental winter tyres and had got Conti Winter Contact 830P on my Volvo and for a 2 wheel drive car, it's pretty impressive.
  8. The most remote place in the UK is "The Great Wilderness", which is the area east of Poolewe in the NW Highlands. Think it's about 7 miles crows flight distance from a road. I used to go walking up there every December bagging the Munros and Corbetts.
  9. Third here. I don't do Facebook or any social media, but i do like reading your posts!
  10. I was given a Center Parks log by a neighbour.... they are all individually wrapped. Been saving it "for best". Bit like an expensive single malt
  11. Think you've already got the right advice, but this is worth a read http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm
  12. I prefer if it ain't broke, work on it until it is, then fix it Did mine yesterday at 2 years, but not so many hours. Was quite a lot of tiny metal particles in the oil. Could really do with a magnetic drain plug, but I can't find one big enough.
  13. I use 120cm high stock fencing on pallets. 1m diameter give you 1m3 and you can get 12 or 13 from a 50m roll, so it works out about £4 per container
  14. Posch say for their Hydrocombi The first oil change should be carried out after 500 operating hours, all further oil changes should then be carried out after every 1000 operating hours or annually
  15. I like climber and comedian Mike Barter's method
  16. That's more like it All this dressing up and EVERYBODY having fun nonsense is a bit tame for my liking.
  17. What about Husqvarna? The 570 or 580BTS are normal 2 stoke engines
  18. I have those all the time with caramalised onion chutney. Just the right combination of the important food groups.... salts, fats and sugars.
  19. I bought a 372 XPW which has a wrap handle, big dawgs and a 75cc engine from Madsens Saw Shop in Washington when I was out there felling big timber with the North Zone Timber Fallers. No I wasn't actually, i was on a rock climbing holiday, but i do have the saw.
  20. I meet the same tw*t every morning on narrow roads going too fast and never using the passing place. My plan was to drag him out one day and slap him about, but this tread has made me realise that this is not a good idea. He might have a DASHCAM
  21. yes, I get excited too the next day when my stuff arrives
  22. very interesting.. thanks for posting. If you click earth you change it from the surface winds to 250 hPa (about 35,000 feet) and really see where the jetstreams are moving.
  23. Yes, that's outrageous. Experienced people giving less experience people advice... on a forum. Put the saw down Olly, and walk away from the tree slowly keeping your hands where we can see them
  24. Looked like they were going to put the last lump right on top of the chip box for a minute
  25. On The One Show last night Len Goodman was talking about him in the past tense so much I thought he'd already died and I didn't know. He really did know how to entertain an audience.
