    Those spruce at castle howard are monsters. I had one hang up on first attempt and had to drag the tirfor lead through all sorts of undergrowth mainly brambles and nettles.

    Philip I take it you have Dave Butterfield and Adrian Whitmore as lecturers. Use their contacts and keep looking on the jobs board outside the arb lecture room. Could also try speaking to the arb apprenticeship lad across the corridor form the lecture room. Also suck every piece of knowledge out of Graham as that is a huge mine of information.

    Firms such as Husqvarna are doing this to prevent the counterfeit stuff getting on the market and it does seem to be working. Also Land Rover have signed an statement of understanding to build models out there to supply the demand.

    Tried to read the seven pillars of wisdom when I was in the sixth form at school. Very interesting read but quite heavy going.

    Just reading Ground Truth by Patrick Bishop about 3 Para second tour of helmand after reading 3 Para which is about their first tour. Waiting for the next instalment of Game of Thrones. Another good read is Fire Strike 7/9 about life as a Forward Air Controller in Helmand.

    They were probably a lot better presented in their cadet uniforms than other pupils in "approved" school uniform.

    How about perennial or as I believe it is called now the Horticultural benevolent fund? Anyone who works in Horticulture, arb and forestry can call on them in times of hardship.

    When i had a load of gear nicked when i lived in leeds, the copper who came out said to go down to cross green car boot in leeds and see if they were there.

    I was actually referring to the slang used rather than the swearing. I just took the swearing as a given in this industry.
