  1. If you dont mind me asking do you use one of those fancy stihl gadgets that replace the carb to pressure test or just block the carb and exhaust off and pressure through the spark plug hole?
  2. I'm 99% sure it doesnt. Best bet would be to ask one of the dealers on the right hand side of the page.
  3. Whatever saw you buy read the manual that comes with it and RUN it in properly. Don't get it out of the box and hammer it from the word go.
  4. I hope you are going to treat it rough and try to break it in that week.
  5. If the above are true then it proves what a total farce the whole thing is! Either a vehicle towing a trailer is dangerous(or what ever reason they give)* or it isnt, exempting certain vehicles or people is ridiculous. * plus I assume they have detailed stats that show there is a major problem while towing which can be sorted out with an OL:laugh1: Anyway Im just going to ignore it all as most do in regards to the towing <750kg category B license stuff. Oh and if anyone thinks im being bad and making the roads unsafe by doing the above then I hope you are doing EVERYTHING in your power to make sure ALL your vehicles are inspected regularly regardless if they require it by law or not.
  6. Well if driving is their job then fair enough but I guess that the vast majority of 3.5 tonner drivers only do a couple of hours a day behind the wheel.

  8. It would seem I live in a different world than you so I cant compare tbh.
  9. The only thing I look at these days is the access. The tree climbing/work is usually the least important part.
  10. Did you try what i suggested?
  11. Right, spark plug out, choke in off position, on/switch in off position, turn saw upside down so spark plug hole is facing the floor and pull starter handle quite a few times to see if any fuel and or oil drains out, if so keep doing this until it there is no more fluid pouring out. Clean and dry spark plug, warming the tip of the plug with a blow torch can help start a flooded engine. Put the plug back in and start as from cold. Good luck hope you get it running.
  12. No chance. The only thing a hand saw has over a chainsaw is noise, anything else is just an excuse to use a handsaw over a chainsaw ime. I have seen quite a few people try and argue they are just as quick in certain circumstances but after awhile they realise they aren't and have to get the saw out to keep up.
  13. Excellent, glad to see my efforts appreciated. Now stop stressing over my post and tell the Mrs to get a taxi and her mates to bugger off(unless they are dead fit of course!)
  14. Jesss you are all going to die young:001_huh: Thank God I only get stressed for about 10 secs than laugh it off no matter what the problem. The more you stress the worse it gets, period.
  15. And the point of that exercise would be.....
  16. I dont think it is a simple as that. You may screw up any benefits he may be entitled to as a student. Get a good account and speak to him.
  17. I would get a bigger bog and throw a dog in there .
  18. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_Y2kKM09xI]The Clown Song - YouTube[/ame] Well tis the season
  19. "Its not all fun being a clown" Oh it is.
  20. I presume you havent read the bungee death thread then! Try the looser leg loops it should stop it riding up tightly. One thing I did notice is that one of the elastic straps snapped and it was very uncomfortable until I sewed it back on.
  21. Kerosene also helps clean the pump, injectors etc as it is a solvent as far as I know. You can also add acetone which gives better mpg and I think it does something to any water in the tank which helps. How vague is that for you!
  22. Indeed. Be glad they over charge, I bet all the local grocers and butchers wish they did!
  23. How closely are they planted? Just sounds like they are being shaded out and dying off. Lombardies do get loads of dead wood twigs and decent sized bits of deadwood when they are solitary trees. I know what my recommendation would be.
  24. When I first used the treeflex I had a MAJOR painful problem with the legs riding up. For some reason now it doesnt cause a problem but im not sure what ive done. If anything I may have the leg loops looser than they first were. Plus I have probably put about half a stone on since then.
  25. It looked like it worked well but, not for the one that would cause a problem ie a pole. If there is brash on then it wouldn't roll anyway but the cut worked, so I deduce that its pointless. Anyway good to see different ideas :thumbup1:but tbh if I thought there was a good chance of roll I would tie it up.
