  5. Looks like they have weaselled out of it! Here is their 1st reply: Hi there Please could you advise how long you have had it? This is an imported model and is not manufactured or sold in the UK- please could you advise where you bought it- it may be that you will have to return it to the importers Many thanks Hazel Erasmus Customer Services. Fiskars UK Limited Bennerley Road, Bulwell, Nottingham. NG6 8PE Then their response Hi there Thank you for your email. Unfortunately as I said in my last email this is an imported model and we do not carry any stock of them. Is it possible that you could contact the retailer? Other than that you could try and contact Fiskars Finland, they may be able to help you. Their email is as follows: [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------ Suppose I shall go that route and see what happens. I would of thought if I brought it in the EU then that's a single market? Anyone know any different?
  6. Just splitting. Nothing out of the ordinary. There was a mark on it where it looked like someone had missed and hit the shaft on a log. That was where the break was.
  7. Oh! Cheers. Big heads up for the advise
  8. Yep broke ours last week. Contacted fiskars they said send a picture. I did and they replied asking me where did I buy it as it looked like an import. I said it was brought off the Internet, I thought it was Poland (EU?). No reply as yet. It broke just below the head.
  9. Country Compost Crows Nest Farm Harefield Middlesex UB9 6LT 07831361829 Call them for prices.
  10. I spoke to Kevin (chief engineer? ) at vermeer about this Stumpy and he said the engineering on it was quite simply. That's always good. I would love one of these due to the size, the power and the depth it goes to. I am in London so it would suit me very well. Dream on I suppose
  11. Got to get the 088 out the other day. It started up straight away even though it hadn't been started for 5 months. Had a pulling rope on it to guide it away from the wall it was resting on. 12. Ouch! Have you tried partsgateway on the t'internet. Also try ringing my local iveco (independent) parts people, they seem to be a load cheaper. 01895 471205 Or they may know someone who can help. Good luck!
  13. And you know what they say about nikon. .. its for people with small hands. No seriously. Do pick one up as they are a bit smaller. Try and get prime lens. They are ridiculously awesome, in fact get 3.
  14. Does the first one look like it's coming out of an elephants butt:thumbup:
  15. I have looked at the various threads on vented barrow bags, and people mention the quality dropping. Also I note that they seem to bulge in the middle. Can anyone recommend some good ones with covers on top that don't bulge so much (if there is such a thing).
  16. Is that why they call it a common rail diesel
  17. Little and often. eg every 2 hours. don't stuff yourself as it will just go to your hips and slow you down, and eat proper carbs eg bread, rolls and only eat fresh bread from a bakers, not processed. but leave out the butter and mayonnaise so eat meat and salad. And don't eat pastry every day as it's almost pure fat. but do treat yourself occasionally, my fav is a breakfast roll with egg bacon and mushrooms, brown and mustard salt and pepper, in a baguette, and that will last me all day. little and often. ANYTHING ELSE? 8-)
  18. Central tree services is Gordon you can email him on [email protected]. Very good splicing. Will make anything you want. At a reasonable price.
  19. Annnnnnd.......its gone! I tried a stunt fell and I landed it perfectly then it rolled into a stairwell
  20. It's all online, on the councils website!
  21. The tree is bulging a basement wall in a very small front garden. In other words you can't fix it unless you remove the tree. I did state this as the reason for removal and I have given them plenty of time to get a TPO on it (4 months). I'm going to take loads of photos as evidence, and I' going to work very fast. As to talking to TO's, well they haven't put a TPO on so why should I. it's more a point of law.
  22. If we can get it to 5 yay's then I'm going for it. Please, if you think I can't do it for any legal reason then please say.
  23. Hi, Just a quick one. I put in an application to fell a tree in a conservation area. The 'application was refused' but no TPO put on it. Can I still go ahead with felling as I understood that the only way to refuse the works is to put a TPO on a tree
