  2. I've got a saw horse that takes 5-8 logs in it... As long or short as you want. Get a pickaroon to lift the logs without bending too far down. 18" light bar on a ms261. Jobs not perfect but a load better. I can put a link up to the saw horse... If you like

  5. I won an internet competition from Volvo, a half day at Goodwood.... . First was being driven in a V70. Then they allowed me to drive in the same car... Then an arctic truck, with trailer, one lap! Then onto construction equipment playing around in sand in a dumper and excavator, then the eco bit was doing some land yachting... Fab day!

  8. This is my friends tree btw.... The council didn't give it.... That is a main road with a school opposite. I also said that the tree was of poor form... I also said because of future damage to the wall. And they only mentioned the wall in the objection.

  10. Morning 'my friend' applied for intention of works as the tree is in CA, through planning portal. There is no TPO, yet, just a letter of objection to the felling from the council. Due to do the works this Tuesday, or not!
  11. How does it stand? Do they need to put a TPO on the tree to prevent the felling, or can it go ahead as 6 weeks notice has been given... asking for a friend!

  18. I think when you are running the bigger machines (60hp+) then the shear power of these machines mean that they don't need to be sharp, but when your on smaller machines the metal must always be sharp when your cutting wood, you know, like chainsaws.

  21. I'm in this situation as well... I have a very large oak we felled the other week main bole is 6m long and 5 1/2' wide rot in the 1st 1.2 m of base and I reckon it weighs around 12t, should I post on the milling forum or else where... cheers
