  1. I quite like them. Never seen one in the UK. We found one on the beach in the North of Norway a few years ago. The kids started chasing it with rocks trying to kill it. Saying they kill the natural birdlife they have. I managed to get a couple of pictures before they went on and did their thing.
  2. Congratulations. So you are on the approved contractors scheme then?
  3. Well done to you and the missus. Congratulation, now the fun begins!
  4.

  6. I was told that at a traditional cobblers. My mates had their Haix done at a saddlers and leatherworker nr Orpington. Cost about 45 quid I think. Most of that was for the Vibram sole though.
  7. You can get them done as long as the grey is in tact. Apparently it is a different compound that cannot be repaired. A place local to me does it. A couple of guys had their Haix done but when I tried to get my first pair of airstreams done I had left it too long and that was the reason for not being able to do them. I have had 3 pairs of them now and each has last about 2 years so I am not complaining.
  8. Any off the arborwear website. The ascent are great but not cheap.
  9. Ill be there baby sitting Bolam as he has a half of Biddendens, to make sure no-one finds him sitting in his own piss.
  10. Less gob more mog!
  11. Rob, try myhermes.co.uk really cheap and have drop off shops all over the place, or designate the courier to pick up from you. I have used them a couple of times and they are great, (and cheap!)
  12. Years ago I used to work in Telecoms and still have a couple of mates who work in that area. EE have been touting the 4G service for months now. One of my mates who looks after them for a major telecoms carrier wondered how they were able to sell the service. When (his) company hadn't even finished the build of their network that they had sold to EE to provide the 4G service. IME all telecoms companies are the same. Commercial departments are sell, sell, sell! Whereas the engineering departments are busy building the networks to provide the services. Unfortunately, in most cases, the left hand doesn't even communicate with the right hand.
  13. I wonder if they splice it?
  14. Nice one Allan.
  15. I know Dartmoor can be described as still being in the middle ages but surely they have roads?
  16. I would have thought they would be great. I used to have a impreza many moons ago. The forester has greater clearance and if you get hold of the correct model they are as fast if not faster than an impreza.
  17. Why has no one mentioned the scooby forester
  18. Gordon. I have found a silky zubat in the shed... As I mentioned you are more than welcome to it. It's a bit scratched and worn but both the belt loop andale an female connectors are in tact. Let me know if you still want it.
  19. Ill check when I am home tomorrow to make sure it's all there. I have a couple as I have used a weaver scabbard for years.
  20. I have a spare zubat scabbard if you want mate..?
  21. Nice one mate. Well done.
  22. Is that true mate. My youngest was born in Wrexham. Has he got a welsh tree?
  23. Nice. When my oldest was born, he's 6 now. His grandfather in Norway went into the woods and found a fine specimen of a silver birch and planted it on the drive of his summer house. Haakon now has a little brother and 2 cousins. So there are 4 silver birch now planted in a line. Kinda nice that they are all different heights and descending in age as are his grand kids.
  24. So what's your sig then?
