  1. Well done Alex. Ooh, and well done to you mate for sticking it in there in the first place.
  2. You mean the Geordie Bath. Once a week you lot used to go their for the "wash'!
  3. How did it go then? Interested to hear more.
  4. One things for certain. One person will become rich as a result of the seminars. As for the techniques that person divulges, I hope they work.
  5. Especially of the West Indian flavour.
  6. That chick in the Viking helmet looks like she is trying to give me the horn
  7. Best be quick mate, not a lot of them still out there.
  8. Had it for years. Probably brought on by raving and clubbing in my youth. I find sleeping with ear plugs helps a lot.
  9. I may have been exiled from the North, but am still a Boro fan at heart!
  10. I am sure that if Pfanner had them in black and white, they would be loved by thousands, but probably pretty rubbish, vastly overated and fall from grace as quick as they got there.
  11. Chortle. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzuFelxTzII]Best Excuse Ever - YouTube[/ame]
  12. Nothing wrong with the 441 IMO. Mine is a belter!
  13. A bit like me then... Phat thumbs on the iPhone. That and predictive text make a lot of my post look like nonsense until I read them back and make corrections.
  14. Which is exactly what I described in the post above yours.
  15. I have Ben. I use my variation of the coos/triangle. Start on the far side underneath to about a 3rd. 45 ish degrees. Then move saw around to the side you are positioned, 3rd again. No gob. You should then see or have an idea where to line the back cut by noting where the nose of the bar is on the first cut. 3 cuts and job done. I have dropped heavy laterals with it and leaning (with a very heavy head lean) stems on a Pop dismantle.
  16. Bolam, don't get cocky ya brainbox... Perpendicular, what's that mean then? I thought the FOGTW describes the coos bay as leaving a triangular hinge.
  17. I thought it was the coos bay with the triangle left..? Either way, it gets it done regardless of name. Nice one.
  18. Instead of fan ting around with a locked f8. I use a rope wrench if it a fat stem. Cinch it to the stem with a long tail and the bailout option is there. On most trees I just use a large ropeguide and set that below my flip line and the bail out option is there again.
  19. Regardless of Job status or occupation, in winter I always allow whatever vehicle to warm up a bit before I drive off. Especially since I have owned deisels. Yes they do warm up better on the road, but IMO it isnt a good idea to drive off the moment you start up. Allow the viscosity of the oil to thin a bit and get around the working parts.
  20. I had one for years, it now holds my riggin kit. I also have a gelert 90l for climbing kit etc and a Lyon 35l for my long rope.
  21. Army surplus bag? Hard wearin and cheap.
  22. I took one out with a crane last year with the idea of milling. From what I recall cutting in a certain way gives lacewood. Sought after by furniture makers. Are you cutting any lacewood?
  23. You wont be tieing it in an endless loop, unless you choose to. You can tie a fishermans knot in each end making a piece of cord that has the same functionality as an E2E but is also adjustable and saves the pounds aswell.
  24. I barely know what half of that gear you are using is for. If it suits you though, then go for it.
