Steady on, I've pulled trucks out of ditches with old climbing ropes in far worse condition than that, the idea that that rope would snap holding a climber is IMO ridiculous. I reckon more climbers are killed by ropes not breaking, than from any rope failure.

One of the injured has lost a leg, just dreadful. Pretty sobering, as a family we have stayed at the hotel for a few days for the last 4 years and ridden the smiler many, many times.

Not sure what your asking Jon? The splitmaster will take timber upto 1.25 meters in length, my boiler takes logs up 1 meter in length, so we will cross cut at 1 meter and then split.

I have one of the Stilh squeezie measuring bottles, once it was empty I just refill from a 10 or 20 litre drum, I've have the same squeezie bottle for over 10 years, changed the caps a few times.

Its not a bad idea, PPE does not offer the protection many think, its not a bad idea to stick a log down the leg of some old kecks and stick a saw into it. Should help the lads to have plenty respect for the saw

Yes, he may well have assisted, but we will never know, because we can't know how David would have done on his own. But Clegg is not well liked and would soon be forgotten, IMO. Of cause people seldom speak ill of the dead, but in Charles Kennedy case he was genuinely well thought of, by most regardless of party politics or difference of opinion. He came across as honest and genuine, warts and all.
