  1. Hi, Just wondered how difficult it is to unclog a saw once it's been jammed up by PPE? My chainsaw trousers have come to the end of their useable life, I figured it may be interesting to test how quick they stop a chainsaw. I'm just not sure if I'll spend the next few hours regretting it as I try to unclog my saw! Thanks in advance...
  2. Thanks for the replies, I am sometimes guilty of not using one! Most of my issues seems to be with my lanyard though, I can't imagine the friction saver helping there...?
  3. Hi all, Sorry to ask what I'm sure is an old question but am a bit new to this game. Am having a bit of issue with my hitch climber and lanyard getting gunked up with sap at the moment. Tried gentle wash in the machine (30 degrees), but didn't really help Just wondered if anyone had any advice? Also I take it that mechanical prussiks like the zigzag and zillon don't suffer from sap gunking? Considering upgrading just to avoid sticky knots! Thanks!
  4. Hi all, Having a bit of an issue with my newly acquired hitch climber, maybe someone can help? When pulling down on the tail of the rope to take in slack when body thrusting, I often find the VT gets jammed under the splice of the rope end (big red arrow in pic) and jams open rather than gripping the rope. This seems less than desirable as it will surely be only a matter of time before I plummet to a painful death far below... I can't imagine this is how it is intended to work?? Edit - The pic is off google, not my actual setup but of course it is pretty much identical.
