    I much prefer removals to pruning, with removals you can get stuck in and know when you have finished, pruning is so much more subjective, its easy for the customer to want just a bit more off:001_rolleyes: And they never tell you while your up the tree, they always wait till you have come down, taken your gear off and put your rope away

    It was you who used the term "nearly illegal", my guess would be a few hundred miles from being illegal. What did they say would happen if the tyres weren't changed?? You are always free to choose to go to court rather than accept a fixed penalty or some other instruction from a police officer.
