  1. The exact same thing just happened to me. Yes its a week and a bit later and i still wont be beaten. Stupid game.
  2. I've burnt Euc for the last few winters. It gets very hot but it does take an age to dry. I have a feeling that Euc has a massive calorific value as well which is why it has been planted as energy crops.
  3. It has a redish colour to it where as European is quite white/yellow. Hybrid too has the redish tinge. I've always found the Jap/Hybrid have a lot more tension in the wood when milling. Feels like it weighs more too. All three Larchs burn very well, nice and hot. I burn a lot.
  4. The 576xp is a fantastic saw. A 30" bar would be pushing the capability of the saw. A 24" is great. I use a 365/372 for edging with my mini mill and it does swimmingly well with a 20" bar.
  5. I have a pair. Lasted quite well managed to burn a hole in the material with the saw exhaust. Iron on patch sorted that out. The vents in the back of the leg are great in the summer.
  6. Are you pushing the down button twice on the way down? It takes for ever to come down on the first press of the button. If you do two it comes down much much quicker.
  7. Awsome. Best ever episode of Dr Who as well.
  8. Nice. Lights are always good. Too many time i have worked under the lights of the tractor as their better than the truck. Just one thing is to check with your insurance company as extra lights normally extra on the policy.
  9. Our Valtra A92 (85-95hp) runs our kwikchip 431 which is about 10" chipper at 540 with out any issues. I have a feeling that the Bandit will work on the Valtra but no stess will kick in a lot.
  10. Nice job.
  11. That 50 quid is closer to 40 after tax and NI. With fuel oil, travel, wear and tear and lunch you seem to be on the short end the stick.
  12. and a seat in the tractor out of the rain.
  13. Is that 50 quid after tax or before?
  14. I'd ask for a bit more. Filling the combi cans up aint cheap anymore neither is driving to site. If you're doing 8-11 tonne a day then your cutting very well.
  15. What is the min HP required for to run a Bandit 250 on a 540pto? The 12" capasity would be great for the sawmill waste and the big infeed hopper would be great for crane feeding.
  16. I'm afraid not they were really strict on cameras on site. They had security on site 24/7 to stop people photographing stuff and leaking it to the press. It was fantastic it was camp in the woods where the kids lived. (right at the end of the film).
  17. The new Robin Hood film. The one with Russle Crowe. Worked on their set lunches and breakfasts were great.
  18. Can the JD wing mirrors fold up against the windscreen like the MF can? Our Valtras can't so they get nackered. Mud guards are flexable as i've hit one with a tree and they do bend. Also abused them picking up bits in the brash mat.
  19. I've think that it might have a place as butting off saw for when doing windblow.
  20. Nothing wrong with having those things in the cab. Wearing my forestry hat sometimes messes up my lovely locks. Right tools for the job and all that. Nothing like working in comfot.
  21. They have nice warm glazed cabs with lots of space and a comfy seat. I'd take that over the blue and white with equal size wheels.
  22. What you have there is rocking horse dodo. You are in Sweden however where the things are made. Which explains things i have a 357xpg and a 390xpg on order with the dealer for over two months now. Just no XPGs comming over here at the moment worldwide demand is massive.
  23. Nice county. A guy down the road has a collection of them and they are emaculate.
  24. Some of those cracks maybe felling shake or drying cracks rather than proper shake. It something only experence will tell.
