  1. I'd love to see you park the 130 on my road. Parking the D22 was hard enough.
  2. I live in a town and hate it. I don't like neighbours, i don't like the inane chatter i can hear through the walls. I don't like younglings in their cars playing what they call music. I want to be a country bumpkin.
  3. £9k is what Oxbridge charge and you'd walk out with a much better education that you would from Myerscough. I'm shocked that they would even think at charging that much. As Janey says it's arb/forestry is very poorly paid and that level of fees will put off a hell of a lot of people.
  4. Got some nasty shake in the end of that. Big lump that. Looks like there a bit of hepatica staining on the other end. You work on the Woburn Estate or did you just buy the lump from them?
  5. Thats a big 6" chipper.
  6. I think i paid VAT on assessment not too long ago. I wonder if it depends if the assessor is VAT registered.
  7. Very clever. I have a mirror on the trailer angled at the tow bar which you can see in the rear view so you see the hitch. Makes sence as you need to be able to park the ball hitch under the trailer to pass the B+E test.
  8. Felco number 8 bypass and no 31 anvil. Last forever if cared for.
  9. Yep costly but worth the money. I also have some Samurai secateurs which have been very good and lasted a long time. Not bad for 20 quid.
  10. That would be cold enough. When i left today the car was saying it was 23 degrees. Valtra heater/air con is fantastic in the winter it can make the cab tropically hot and in the summer it can make it finnish winter cold:thumbup:
  11. Nice and cool in the tractor with the air con on.
  12. Had a guy pull into the yard for some woodchips. His disco's rear light was hanging out. Pointed it out to him, he didn't know why it was like that. Bad people must of been desturbed knicking it.
  13. Did you make your own website? Was it hard. I think i shall make a FB page for my company.
  14. What yield class are the conifers. Again will give you an idea of how much avaiable wood your getting.
  15. Whats forestry like in NZ? I'd love to go and work there but i'm forestry rather than arb.
  16. Thanks i'm thinking about going full time s/e. I'll email you a CV over later tonight.
  17. i just googled CS10 and that was first on the list. As for updateds the HSE recommend that you do refresher training every 5 years as a professional user and 3 years as a part time one. Refresher training can take the form of adding a new unit or just doing a refresher course. NPTC | FAQs | When is a chainsaw refresher training required? this may be of interest. CS10 in the blue book? I see on your website that your looking for s/e people...is that still current?
  18. Post some pictures see if we can help. Normally you can adjust how the drum sits against the clutch plate.

  20. Do they do one for a double cab Navara bed?
  21. Best bit of kit ever. I love mine even better i got it free, the council were throwing it away as it leaked. I fixed that and its been super ever since.
  22. I'm going to get myself one of those. Been keeping my hilift in a standard wedge pouch and it just streches it and then is a pain to get out. I've aso borrowed your hammer pouch idea for storing my axe on my belt. Works so so well.
  23. Lovely set of Photos. Love the DoF on the karabinas and fig of 8 shots.
  24. Iglands are the rolls royce of forestry skidding winches. They keep their money quite well though. Farmi winches pop up on ebay quite frequently. If yiu want a new one then look at the uniforest ones they're well made, strong pull and full of features and VERY reasonably priced.
  25. Yea it is fun isn't it. Pic 1. Skidding out 10' Chestnut 2010 Pic 2. A very heavy forwarding trailer full of 4.1m Larch sawlogs 25ish on there. 2 weeks ago Pic 3. Wednesday Oak thinnings forwarded in Yesterday on a very very heavy trailer. 2 bunks of 9' Oak sawlogs.
