  1. Have you looked at the Merlo multifarmer can tow 20 tonnes. http://merlo.co.uk/images/pdf/multifarmer.pdf
  2. I did the course back in 2000.. It gave me all the basic tickets and was very good value. I am sure it has changed..
  3. We have just fitted 2 to two of our trucks, thinking of fitting to chippers as well. They sell them on ebay for a lot less. They are great, pay as you go sim, phone it up and it texts you back with a link on google. Main reason was to find the vehicle if it is nicked but it does have the benefit that I can find out where the guys are..Used it this morning when waiting for them to turn up on site:001_smile: You can also wire them in so you can turn of the fuel.. back2you.com online store - Self Contained GPS Vehicle Tracker
  4. It is not an issue IMO. Makes no difference to the survey.
  5. I wasn't being totally serious......
  6. Most climbers with 1 years experience can not climb for toffee IME. They are learning the trade and should pay their employer to work for them..
  7. This one has been for sale for a number of months.. They are not cheap.. "With a fixed price of £42,500 plus VAT shows a saving of more than £12,000 from new. " Iveco Daily 4x4 55S17W Camper Overland Flood Response Unimog Defender Expedition | eBay
  8. In the 10 years we've been in business we've used one once.. and that was at least 7 years ago. For that job it was great as it was a long way to the road down a very narrow path, but it made right mess. Wouldn't want to use one on a tidy garden. You can pay quite a few days of lads humping logs for the cost of one and lads can rake go up steps and do all sorts of other things:001_smile:. If you "need" it round the yard or can use it for other things then it might be worth it.
  9. But only when things go wrong... I am not advocating using non CE equipment just stating that there is no one out there to stop you. In ten years no one apart from people paid or employed by me have ever inspected my kit.
  10. It's not that late yet.. I had some advice from folk on here before, worked well for me: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/business-management/62515-unpaid-invoices.html
  11. You will overload that then, weighed ours full of chip, 3 climbing kits, lowering kit, 8 saws, tool kit etc.. 6,650 Kgs - http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/arb-trucks/29792-iveco-6-5-a-3.html
  12. I have tensioned ziplines using pulleys before and it's always been a bit of a ball ache. Got my lad a slack line for chrismas which is basically a big ratchet strap. I reckon this could work well for tensioning a slack line..
  13. Peasgood is posting about Tacho requirements.. Not what you can tow on a licence. I am not sure he is right about that as I believe there is or a 100km exemption, either way it is totally different to what you are posting about.. I know nothing about tractors..
  14. I'd be much more likely to hire you and a van if it did NOT have your graphics on.
  15. Makes sense to me.. But if you burn it hot you shouldn't have any problems , just a reduction in efficiency. It seems to me it might become an issue when you do a slow burn.
  16. I don't agree, seasoned logs that have become wet will dry very quickly IMO. We season our logs outside only bringing it once split. Unless it has been sat on the floor it is dry pretty quick, although I have no moisture meter.. While I agree it is not recommended to burn wet logs. I ran out of wood over christmas and had to resort to split some gnarly old ash rings that had been sat on the floor for two years, it was sopping. Obviously it is less efficient but it burnt really well at a much better speed in my burner.. Didn't some one on her have a customer who used to put their dried logs in the pond? I guess the OP if questioning if the water from seasoned wet logs will cause the damage to the chimney liner which as I understand is caused by steam dissolving out flammable, acidic tars. I don't know the answer.. but my guess is that it will be less damaging as the steam will be on the outside so not passing through the wood as much as in unseasoned wood. I could be wrong however and my liner could fall apart.
  17. How about a setting to restrict you from checking it when you are supposed to be working!
  18. I have always only got tiny pics when going to arbtrader.. Went to get you a screen shot and it was fine.. So either you have fixed it or it's fixed itself...
  19. Customer had a man sized barrow on a job last week!
  20. Ditto. Threads often have loads of nice big photos but arbtrader often has a single tiny pic..
  21. It's about 30 miles further away then your Cannock depot so not really:001_smile:
  22. What happened to the damp mog..? As others have said payload will be pants, will turn like an oil tanker, but look great..
  23. Did a google search and arbtalk came up.. I was the OP.. 5 years ago:001_smile: Looking again for tracked chippers, used Orange plant in the past looking for someone closer..
  24. You can hire in the trailed machines pretty cheaply.
