  1. Take the drive belts off and start engine, pull bars into reverse! Then fix the no stress device!
  2. Elder brother, younger sister. I've one of each and my sig other has same.
  3. Ben, you could try John Young from Melton Mowbray, or Pete Lord. They have kit that will manage.
  4. It's behind our house! Off to do a couple of things elsewhere then it is to you Bob! Then off to a decent outfit in Shropshire!
  5. Depending on hours, check the edge of the shear bars or anvils. Take a blade off to check the beds.Do the infeed controls work and comply with theregs?
  6. I got some Tea Tree and Mint shower gel "Original Source" from either Tesco or the CoOp the other night. Smells okay, minty and Eucalyptus ish, lathered up okay, easy to use etc.... Do you remember that sensation that you used to experience when Mother ysed to put Vicks VapourRub around your nostrils as a kid.....kinder cold, yet hot? Uncomfortable enough for you to want to get it off? That's what this stuff is like around the wastegate and biffing skin!!! Caveat Emptor!, gentlemen.
  7. Good luck with claim and I hope that those who deprived you hurt bad....
  8. Cannot remember the prices, but I used to buy chain oil in 205 litres and two smoke in 25!
  9. Si! Try talking to Nottingham City tree team, they have a yard out by the racecourse at Colwick or ask at the racecourse to see if they need it.
  10. Just to add something here....it is a water cooled engine (same as most in woodchippers) and you have to have water/antifreeze mix in the radiator and air flow through the radiator to cool said fluid! The sensor cannot sense hot air in the engine! No fluid means no measurement......
  11. Mat! PM your number across and I'll get a sales rep to call you with his best price.
  12. Insurance is one of my pet hates from when I ran a tree surgery outfit with 12 staff aged from late teens to late 30s. Back then (14 years ago), my single cab 130 with pickup body cost half to insure what my 4x4 Transit did because it went on an Ag and Forestry Policy but the Transit had to go on Commercial Vehicle policy, but they did the same job. My ex Royal Mail Astravan cost the same to insure as my £38k 4x4 Iveco! And my streched Range Rover was dearer for me and the then wife than if I had it "any driver, any age"!!!!
  13. I'd be tempted to talk to the supplier as well. It doesn't look an overworked piece of kit or very old.... My local ag engineer is massively overworked and understaffed so jobs can be with him a while - but, off memory, he charges about £45 per hour and is worth twice that really...
  14. Mine is in the AV cage. You do need a good set of ear muffs unless you like ringing ears for days! Originally, it had a 5ft bar which had a separate oiler on the far end as well as a handle, unfortunately, this got burnt when some scrote set fire to the shed....
  15. I got it after a theft cleared us out many years ago and I had a couple of big trees to get down that day. After the stolen kit was replaced, she was used as a stand-by only. The body used to get put in the footwell to warm her up on the way to site as tugging her over was hard! She still roars occasionally now although I use a 13 or 14 year old 088 to ring up a few lumps!
  16. There is an 090 in my garage! What's the sizecahd output of that?
  17. Give Mac or Jason a ring at GreenMech. We used a 2 pit Deutz years ago and I think that your throttle isn't connect to the fuel rack, something fell off internally maybe? Alternatively, phone Deutz themselves and speak to their technical people.
  18. Empty desk - empty mind!?!
  19. Just spoke to Martin Lucas who is attending for GreenMech, he is taking the Arbtrak amongst other bits of kit, it will be a worthy opportunity for you Ute Arb boys in the area to come along and get a look into what is available and have a bacon wedge and a lid of tea!
  20. Truck breakersyard for spares soon I'll bet. Decent truck back in the day!
  21. Hey Jon! Tiger's did Sale Sharks a good 48-10! Get on Tiger's!
  22. Rich, bung up a photo to help the search!
  23. Get on Jon! Hope they do better than Tiger's v Saracens last week!
  24. A GreenMech QuadChip was stolen in the Derby area the other night too. I'll pist details when I get them. East Midlands at risk again.
  25. "Blow Off Valve". It isn't an instruction! A hydraulic system has a safety valve that allows the oil to bypass a valve if the pressure is too great for safe working. It prevents a hose exploding or seals from bursting etc if the system is under too much pressure. It is usually an adjustable spring pushing against a ball bearing against a hole in the valve. If the pressure is too great, the ball moves back against the spring, allowing theoil to bypass. If the infeed rollers stop pulling in because the timber is too big, that is "dead ending" the circuit whilst the pump is still pumping which is bad. The valve opens to relieve the pressure, which is good. The pressure at which the blow off operates can be adjusted by the coil spring. A spring can go weak thus opening too early or set too heavy which can pop seals, burst hoses or knacker pumps! If maximum pressure is set to 3000psi then spring weakens to 2000psi, then the rollers will appear weak and inefficient. A reset will bring about a transformation!
