  1. Pete Haines knows his way around mechanical things or try ringing a few plant hire firms.
  2. I know that man! Him from Honley you mean, him with a GreenMech QuadChip? I'll vouch for Kev!
  3. Welcome to the forum JackthLog! I'd defo try a GreenMech CM220 - top machine and would run at 1000speed if you are doing thin stuff or wack in 540 and rev it up!
  4. Ouch! Good recovery and when ready, retrain!
  5. Hydraulic psi on a GreenMech is no more than 3000 for most models. Over period of time the blow off valve may weaken and drop to, say 2200psi and a tweek back to 3k makes the world of difference! This reset is always carried out with a good set of gauges that are known to be reading true as over pressure could pop seals etc.....
  6. Don't mess with it without putting a gauge on it - you could do more harm than good! Contact Jez Smithers at TS Industrie/Eric Hunters for the pressure settings and go from there.
  7. Ha! Cheers Harry, they have paid the mortgage for the last 15 years and I ran two back in early/mid 90's...
  8. CGM, part of Brown's, hire out of Boreham if thats any good.
  9. Sorry Dan, not yours.....someone rang in with a serial number which was Pete Haines' QuadChip, I tried to find out more but the number was withheld and the caller said he wouldn't touch it them. Cold trail....
  10. Damaged blade pockets and bent shaft Rog? Did the shear bars and casing contain the impact?
  11. Good on you Stu! Hope it goes well and comes in under budget and they pay on time!
  12. I'd stick with a Rover with a charger and bug scoop! British built you see..... I got a 3.9 sat on the bench in the workshop, but too many other half done jobs to consider starting another.... "Half Done Projects" could be another thread, couldn't it!
  13. Jeez Kev, how many of those blue ones have been knicked?
  14. I did think about asking the factory for a machine and chucking a shiny V8 into it with a beer barrel fuel tank, trick paint and big phat nasty wheels etc, just for some show fun!
  15. A couple of people have asked about a smallish crane on a 1928, we haven't decided against it but if it was 2,500+kgs and, say, £50k, how many can I put in my sales forecast? That is the basic question...building them is the easy part of the job!
  16. Customising? What are you doing to it? A few machines a year might get "left" in the corner of the yard, but hardly any get brojen for parts as those ones are generally worn out or sold for scrap as they are damaged or burnt out wrecks I would have thought.
  17. Cambrian would support you if you needed it. Go for the GreenMech!
  18. Get the GreenMech!!! The reason that we went with Kubota was to do with Global Supply - we deliver worldwide and in terms of support and supply, Kubota are okay. Other engines were good too, but in some markets our buying and support terms and conditions did not support the huyers enough.
  19. Balmers at Burnley is the nearest GreenMech dealer! The instructions are freely available from us if you want to get them done at an engineering company of your choice.
  20. We have recently changed a couple of the GreenMech tow tugs. Big Al, our Scottish rep, changed his Mazda BT50 crewcab for a Ranger and I was asked handle the sale of the old truck. I had intended to put adverts up on Arbtrader, GreenMech's web site and Autotrader this evening whilst doing supper, sorting out kids and taking photos of a wood chipper in the dark which is fitted with a lighting tower. I did the advert on Autotrader and had sold it before I had confirmation that the advert was live! I wished I had put more on it now!
  21. Ditto the above! I would vote in a government who would put up taxes and build horrible prisons, that show no mercy, allow no "human rights" and deliver long, harsh penalties to scum who treat law abiding people with such contempt! I would also charge the inmates family for their board and lodgings so that they take responsibility too!!!
  22. Your comments are a bit harsh, further qualification would be appreciated by us all! Please explain why the are plasticky and from what experience do you believe the disc blades are a joke!?! in Will's case, Greenmech have appointed Hunts to look after the Isle of Wight, you could not get closer than that!
  23. A chap near to me is down sizing - pm your number over and I'll put you two together. He has CS100 for his private garden and is selling up.
  24. Go to our website, go to products, click on a machine then look for the manuals download. Do that, then look through it for the correct page. Failing that, cal 01789 400044, when prompted, press 3 and ask Hazel to email it to you. Cheers.
