  1. i ground a stump last week that a contractor thought he would be helpful by criss crossing it,they were up to 6'' deep cuts.i ended up ripping off 3 chunks violently with the grinder,1 which jumped up and hit the screen
  2. I have a 250 amp transmig by cigweld and use co2,i have welded several truck trays and sides, with co2 the welding proccess could be described as being more dirty more spatter etc but its much cheaper than argon/mix, sounds like in the uk you dont pay bottle rental on pub gas?we have to over here. in a previous life i have used stick welders up to 400 amps and if you are just a casual user, mig is far easier than stick especially if your welding thin stock
  3. homeowner Insurance is a con, over here and i imagine the same over in the uk if your tree falls and squashes the fence and your nieghbours car, your insurance company pays to the fence only. anything on the other side is your nieghbours problem. all designed to make everyone have insurance on their homes
  4. usually within 20klm but we just did a job 550km away, nearly all on the crappiest road in the Kimberleys

  6. is that a bmg grapple?i have one on my loader without a rotator,we welded a longer plate on the pickup plate with a higher section in the middle so it traps wood if you want to carry it straight out front, works great top loader by the way, you'll wonder how you did without it:thumbup:
  7. Dig em out by hand, reminds me of pre grinder days

  9. anyone having trouble downloading the file?i only get 6 mb
  10. i have a similar but hydraulic arrangement on my nifty lift, while it is faster if we have to go any distance we will either push by hand or use the loader to push it and just use the drive for the final maneuve, good for hook ups though
  11. i had one on my lucasmill, worked well for 2 years then i hit a nail, every tooth flew off also got a 395 18'' bar with one works great on dead Ironwood and dirty stumps
  12. could you have an extra leaf put in the pack?i have just done this to my canter but on the back
  13. top work is the chair held together by any fastenings or by friction alone?
  14. I get these phone calls about every 3 months.after letting them rabbit on i just say fax me something with letterhead on it.never hear back.unfortunatly some of these tossers wont take no for an answer
  15. There great chippers,i think i have the same model 1250T.does yours have side shift?i've had one for 3 years 1500 hrs and have had to replace the shaft bearings as a precaution only and weld a new sheet on the bend of the chute thats the only major work its seen apart from normal maintenance. How many hrs do you get before the knives get changed out?

  21. theres Crocs everywhere some live in some unlikely little pools of water, dont swim in the rivers in the NT regardless of how nice they look.there has recently been 2 kids taken by crocs up in Darwin surrounds, they were swimming where they had for years and one day a croc moves in.
