The Muppets throwing rubbish are absolutely everywhere I'm afraid, not just north of the border.

Maybe have a new law that if you're caught throwing rubbish larger than a water bottle on camera, the police can pull you over and smash a window of their choice ?.

There's a lot of weaponry on show for sure, but when I look at the gun owners posing proudly with them, I see a middle age Texan woman who rides horses a lot on the ranch and likes her guns, an Angelina Jolie / Brad Pitt wannabe couple with stars in their eyes trying to portray an image, and the hiphop crew with the standard MTV music video accessories of boom box, cars and guns etc.

None of them really fit the bill for a mass killing spree.

I hate to break it to someone like mull regarding this subject, you cannot compare the UK & USA, we have the strictest laws in the whole world regarding obtaining and keeping a licenses.

If you're argument actually had any validity then why not compare the USA and Canada.

They are literally neighbors with practically zero borders in many places, sadly it's the culture not the laws and was well documented in a Michael Moore documentary.

Did not think I made any comparisons whatsoever, think I mentioned it might be difficult for USA to change gun laws! Also mentioned that I didn’t think it was terribly difficult to obtain a FAC in this country. Johnsond disagreed, he said it took a long time, upto a year apparently!! I’d say that’s quite a long time tbf, would I call it difficult? Not sure I would. Even with a probationary period it’s still just time consuming rather than difficult. Of course it’s culture in USA[emoji849]

Yeh, sounds about right that you’re making light of such a subject

Ah, sorry Mandy, I guess I don't have as much invested emotionally in our conversation as you do. Honestly, I'm only here as a spectator, I'm not trying to convince you of anything, I'm just interested to hear your point of view.

Sometimes, when reading your posts, I get the vague feeling that they were written as a work of satire; it's as if they are specifically lampooning, but with an unbelievable degree of subtlety, the very character that you portray; as though your posts came in fact from the pen of the likes of Armando Ianucci for an episode of The Thick Of It, but with fewer words in the title.

It's entertaining stuff, so cheers for that.

Evening Pedo

I really do wish you where as funny and intelligent you seem to hold yourself in your own head. It’s your sheer desperation that’s the most cringeworthy.

As you say, it’s entertaining stuff, just for none of the reasons you hoped for.
