I was always told that road going engines don't quite work the same as a commercial engine. something along the lines of the lorry engine in the tractor would get bogged down more easily when it gets put under load. perhaps not the same sort of torque being produced.

I remain astounded at the quality and downright over-engineering that must have went into the Fordson Major back-end, having watched a few re-engined monsters tractor pulling way beyond their pay-grade.

Fully agree Eggs, proper pricks and in bad taste, however, is it now illegal to make a comment or do anything in bad taste?

That isn't for me to judge. I guess it depends what the police/cps try to hit them with, if anything. From bits on the news, internet it sounds like it could be a public order offence.

I wonder if they will get punished more than the £50 fine handed out to the vile extremists who burnt poppy wreaths on Remembrance Day!

Brilliant idea! What and cause another riot like Brixton in the early 80's? Do you ever think things through before you come up with these bright ideas?

That's a bit defeatist Eggs, especially coming from you.

I think Vesp has a valid point.

Knife crime in London is mainly black on black. It would be pointless for the stop and search response not to reflect this.

You can't namby-pamby around worrying about people kicking off about it. That's Sadiq Khan kind of thinking.
