At times it baffles me how some people run businesses. Goodwill is vital when you're dealing with the public. He has now ensured that Stubby, his family and friends will not buy a car there. The correct course of action was to apologise profusely, refund the full £400 asap, and send Mrs Stubby a bunch of flowers/Box of chocolates/Bottle of prosecco or similar. That few quid gift could have rescued a £5k ( for the sake of argument ) sale.

Regardless of the brand, I wouldn't recommend any 18v saw, it's just too hard work for the battery ( unless perhaps it's that mahoosive 12Ah Makita jobby 😄 ). Lower voltage means higher current for the same effort, and high current draw is the enemy.

Hi, I have a tip site at our farm (Oakstream Pastures) in Burnley but wanted to know what would encourage tree surgeons / arborists to actually use us? I'm happy to pay for the chip or exchange for eggs / chicken etc (whatever produce we have that might be interest!). We have regular use for chip and do pay for the bulk load from time to time. We use it for bedding, mulch and composting so never have enough!

Use it on a little job last week, not a good test but do find any bit of grass was badly marked. Will give it a good test tomorrow as doing a bit of woodland work. Have noted the ride is a bit bumpy as they are agri pattern.

I have used a shear to do the thinning. Brilliant for brambles or put lieing blackthorn.

I have Goat Willow all around me on wild land, It's a total menace if you let that get established you'll be dealing with the problem for the rest of your life particularly in a city garden, once it gets established it'll put out runners everywhere. I don't think it would undermine your footings, but the fool is going to regret planting it in his garden once it starts to spread. If you don't want to poison it atm just wait until it shows up on your side of the fence and then hit it with Roundup 450 and that should kill the whole root system of that tree. You could also try watering his trees with extremely salty water... when he's not in😁 -
I thought many years ago, prior to me joining the industry, they used to sell a small portawrap for using up the tree?
