  5. What was the country of origin ie where was it mined SP. How simple a question is that. This is Arbtalk not PMQ’s no need for the lies or ignoring the question, just a simple honest answer for a change.
  6. Hi all, I’m just in the process of trying to streamline all the office side of things for the business. I run a medium sized company, generally have 2 teams out most days and have a a mix of commercial and domestic tree surgery work. Work has gone a little quite the last few weeks and I’m looking to use this time to try and get a better system in place so I can link calendars and book in jobs more easily. At the moment I am just using i calendar and booking in jobs that way. I have tried with Arbpro but found the system to convoluted for my liking but maybe this can be worked out with a bit of fine tuning. My partner would be happy to help me out and could deal with some of the office side of things and book in appointments for me but we would need a system to work from that linked up with one another. I’m just wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation and if you have found a way to take some of the stress and time out of paper work? Thanks in advance people.
  7. A bloke better come and install it in the tree for you for that.

  10. Hi Steve, I might be tempted by this. I'm full time atm but that may change in the near future. For now though, do you have anything available on Saturdays? Cheers
  11. I remember when the merch was given out as freebies by dealers when you bought stuff from them. I always had stihl hats, t shirts and a calendar with lovely semi naked ladies. Now it costs money i never do.

  13. Near enough the same I think, that compare above says net weight but its with them fitted. I'll have 3 LXT batteries and 6 XGT soon. Looks like they release the UC029 today but nowhere has it listed or prices yet, so I will miss the ebay 20% on that...

  17. I looked online for a dedicated adhesive for bonding linings,, this came up,,Henkel Loctite Teroson SB PL605-4 Black is a one component, thixotropic, solvent-based, heat curing adhesive. It features excellent resistance to chemicals, thermal shock, and water, as well as withstands temperatures exceeding 315.5 °C. Ideal for bonding clutch, break, and other friction materials to metal. but as the price is somewhat prohibitive ,,[think both kidneys, spleen, liver, heart, and anything else that be salvaged],, I guess I'll be using a proprietary two part bonding adhesive such as araldite, or similar. thanks for the help fellers👍
  18. I don't suppose any of you chainsaw collector types have a coil for a pioneer nu17 laying up a dusty corner you wish to part with for a fair price.. or a primer assembly, they are all I need to get her running.
  19. Is the flywheel all there? Missing fins? Or a lump of something wedged between the fins? Is there slop in the wrist (knuckle?) needle bearing/s that connect the piston with the crank? Are the antivibe mounts all in working order?
  20. had a main bearing go on mine when i purchased it from new after 2 weeks of commercial forestry felling had it repaired under warranty from my local husky dealer. i pulled the saw out of commercial forestry work and just used it as my firewood saw its been fine since . im not sure if there was a batch issue forbearing issue from factory ? but iv seen reports of a few failures on these
  21. I had one once, got the thing going and it started to set fire to my lawn that was tinder dry and was due to the down firing exhaust pipe outlet. I believe I fitted a piston for another model saw in the thing as the original was toast. Anyway, it worked just fine.

  23. I've had quite a few unbranded chains of amazon and ebay that worked out around a pound each, and they were decent enough chains too. Many got abused for root and stump cutting and resharpened well enough. Currently preferring the full chisel chains from Farmertec, although they might not be great on more powerful saws. I suspect the drive links may be soft as I have mashed up a few, the cutters however, are excellent. My 2511, 020T and G372XP are all using their full chisel chains. For the 2511 I had to buy a 50DL and shorten to 40.

  25. Two arborists are seated either side of a table in a rough pub when a well-dressed man enters, orders a beer and sits on a stool at the bar. The two arborists start to speculate about the occupation of the suit. Phil: - I reckon he's an accountant. Eric: - No way - he's a stockbroker. Phil: - He ain't no stockbroker! A stockbroker wouldn't come in here! The argument repeats itself for some time until the volume of beer gets the better of Phil and he makes for the toilet. On entering the toilet he sees that the suit is standing at a urinal. Curiosity and the several beers get the better of the arborist Phil: - 'Scuse me.. no offence meant, but me and me mate were wondering what you do for a living? Suit: - No offence taken! I'm a Logical Scientist by profession. Phil: - Oh! What's that then? Suit: - I'll try to explain by example... Do you have a goldfish at home? Phil: - Er... mmm . well yeah, I do as it happens! Suit: - Well, it's logical to follow that you keep it in a bowl or in a pond. Which is it? Phil: - It's in a pond! Suit: - Well then it's reasonable to suppose that you have a large garden then? Phil: - As it happens, yes I have got a big garden! Suit: - Well then it's logical to assume that in this town if you have a large garden then you have a large house? Phil: - As it happens I've got a five-bedroom house...built it myself! Suit: - Well given that you've built a five-bedroom house it is logical to assume that you haven't built it just for yourself and that you are quite probably married? Phil: - Yes I am married, I live with my wife and three children. Suit: - Well then it is logical to assume that you are sexually active with your wife on a regular basis? Phil:- Yep! Four nights a week! Suit: - Well then it is logical to suggest that you do not masturbate very often? Phil: - Me? Never. Suit: - Well there you are! That's logical science at work! Phil: - How's that then? Suit: - Well from finding out that you had a goldfish, I've told you about your sex life! Phil: - I see! That's pretty impressive...thanks mate! Both leave the toilet and Phil returns to his mate. Eric: - I see the suit was in there. Did you ask him what he does? Phil: - Yep! He's a logical scientist! Eric: - What's that then? Phil: - I'll try and explain. Do you have a goldfish? Eric: - Nope. Phil: - Well then, you're a wanker.
