  3. Anybody used either with SJ 3 if so penny for your thoughts?
  4. If your busy pass on the job.
  5. If your on the bones and you know the tree work will be as a subby you’ll be insured by the firms you work for, if you’ll be doing hedges, maintenance and clean ups for yourself just take out insurance covering maintenance and not Trees. It will keep your cost down ten fold.
  6. Gary has touched on it but what’s worrying is the saplings have it (I’m north west) so sadly Ash will soon be a thing of the past and we may need to think about giving sycamores a better rep as they’ll have to be looked after better to keep a good tree stock once Ash are a tree of the past.

    Gloves

Ok so we have had threads on gloves before but I thought I’d ask from a different angle, what gloves do you use when running the ropes and a lot of the time letting them run?
  10. Looks like the old dears in the House of Lords have played into the EUs hands on negotiations now! We aren’t half making a hash of it.
  11. Just WTF! Those pics should make @Steve Bullman ladder thread

No he’ll be on YouTube researching how many days you’d have to live before you started saving money! He’d hope the batteries would fail before you reach said days.
  14. I have one and the build quality is excellent, all metal but it’s very weighty and over aggressive in the cut without the power to back the aggression if that makes sense. I use it now and again but it doesn’t come close to my 372.
  15. Looking for some turf tyres for the mog if anyone has any they’d like to sell?? Currently on 20 inch rims 6 studs.
  16. Ran the ropes on this pop today, long day but great weather.
  17. Anybody catch the interview on radio 4 today in regards to knife crime, I only caught the last 5-10mins but it sounded good.
  18. Interesting! How though do they put a value on of say 2.6mil on the chestnuts when really you could never get that money for them as an asset?
  19. If you have followed the rules and regs like you say you have and can move everything business like out turn it into a man cave for a while how can they disprove that it’s for personal use?! The problem you have as far as I can see is you will be able to keep it for personal use but that stops you storing work kit in it, if it was your intention all along to store work kit in their then you haven’t followed the rules and regs at all as you would have needed planning for a business dwelling. Personally id keep it up for personal use then after 12 months has passed flout it’s use a little. A summer house with a bar and pool table isn’t all that bad for the bbq season.
  20. I’d remove the materials from the front of your house and anything business like from the shed, I’d speak to your legal eagle and get their views because they can’t prove it’s for business so I’d stick a beer fridge in pool table etc and when you receive something else more damping Id argue it’s for personal use and that you have followed the rules and regs to the letter. I would have a few bbqs and family/friend gatherings and post a load of photos on social media showing the sheds use in a personal way. If you have to go to court surely you would have enough evidence to support it’s for personal use in which case you haven’t broken any laws, end of and job done. If you tidy your place up pronto they also have no evidence of how long building materials have been at your dwelling you could state they where in transit to a job location however you couldn’t afford to leave them vulnerable over a weekend on a job site. In court common sense would prevail if you have all of your ducks in a row.
  21. If they are on the national living wage for an unskilled job I’m not sure you can say they are on a rubbish wage, surely it is proportionate to the job they are doing? Id be interested in seeing the jobs they are partaking in and comparing the numbers of unskilled immigrants in work against the number of UK nationals 2 parents with 2 kids where both parents are on the dole and have no intentions of working to see which scenario is costing us more? I know you like to beat the immigration drum but a lot of the time they are doing jobs we won’t, not can’t but won’t. This isn’t me defending unskilled immigration by the way, Just thought I’d offer another slant to the situation, personally think a points system ala Australia should be enforced but hey ho.
  22. Yes I find Barolo and chateauneuf a minefield, the best Barolo I have ever had cost €9 a bottle in sestriere, we where skiing and when finished noticed a cafe bar that was mad busy with locals (not skiing) it didn’t look much but wow what a place.
  23. I love full bodied red, I hate any red that leaves an after taste! The chateauneuf I bought 2 bottles of last year when we visited friends in Sablet , it’s from a vineyard in Sablet we drank 1 last year and saved the other for after we had the little ‘un, he’s just started sleeping through so it’s our first cheese board and red wine night for about 12 months. The same friend brought the l’amandine back and gave it to me for removing an alder and 2 apple Trees from his mother in laws. He didn’t charge us for staying with them last year and we may be going this year (again free digs) if it fits with the daughters pre school holidays, so naturally I didn’t charge him for half a days graft! He insisted on me having a bottle of red however and I’m not rude enough to say no
  24. Question now @Steve Bullman is do I switch from French to Italian (primitivo) or stay French and open the chateauneuf?? What a tough choice!
  25. He could have saved himself stacks of time if he’d have phoned @Vespasian !
