  1. But then they won’t want their trees and hedges worked on either, knock on effect.
  2. NHS has its problems but it certainly doesn’t have endless pots of money. Chorley closed its AnE due to lack of funds which in turn puts an extra strain on surrounding AnE’s. Health tourism is a problem. The way public budgets are used and renewed is a massive problem. Bolton hospital changed the way it operates to cut losses. Wrightington Wigan and Leigh is currently moving its estates and facilities across into a private company as it can’t keep making losses. Ormskirk health sold out to virgin health as it was making losses. The losses are culpable I can’t remember which NHS trust it was but one down south was allowed to go bankrupt and close. Comparible jobs like for like I.e plumbers, sparks, joiners etc etc are on less money than private counterparts hence the struggle to recruit. Yes they have a banding system system similar to the forces @kevinjohnsonmbe but the workers salaries are hardly great top bands etc well..... NHS’s are struggling and being allowed to go down the swanny but the pay rises are to stop people leaving which in turn may put a stop to agency staff on more money and may attract more nurses and doctors which in turn may stop locums, bank staff, agency staff and overtime at time and a half with call outs etc.
  3. Capital fm and radio x but I’m young thirties
  4. Sad but true.
  5. Can you fill a week with work for the foreseeable future? If yes leave him too it and thank him for his time and opportunity, don’t burn bridges. If no see if you can stay PAYE but for 3 days a week fill 2 yourself with others for more money SE. or see if hell up your salary to £100 PAYE and stay on his books for a small pay rise.
  6. Where’s matey boy, I though he’d have jumped all over this!
  7. Firstly get rid of trident, secondly summon them to a meet, third and finally break out the tea and biscuits and have a good old chat.
  8. Speak to @RC0 he’s made a good go of it in Canada I’m sure he could offer some wisdom.
  9. Really how so?
  10. Then like with most things you’ve guessed wrong. Sorry.
  11. Last week I had to show you workings out for getting to 20% it’s a bit rich coming from you telling somebody else to go back to school when you went to 3 unis and still struggle with basic math.
  12. So you think the farmers who own the land now would give it up or sell it at a loss or would they put the price of food up to cover loss of subsidy?! Also when we have left the EU and imports have tariffs they’ll have a percentage to play with to undercut food from the EU and still put it up in price. Farmers will not not take the loss, supermarkets will definitely not take the loss soooooo who will? No one food prices will rise to cover loss in subsidy. We as the consumer will have no choice but to pay it sooooo many working families will become vulnerable and the price of land will stay the same as due to price adjustment farmers profits will stay the same. Food is is a necessity we can’t live without it, we can’t just stop buying it because it’s gone up in price. Lastly if it did sky rocket in price due to loss of subsidy the tax payers, government would have to raise the amount of benefits people receive to allow people on benifits to feed themselves.
  13. Shame to think you’ll not fit in, must be nice to still have enough work when not answering your phone though. Is it as hard over there to find good lads with a work ethic as it is here? Look forward to the drone stuff, I’d love to visit Canada particularly to ski but after recently having our 2nd little ‘un it will be a few years down the line yet, Europe will have to do.
  14. Completely agree but in a world of credit and false economising it ain’t going to happen, we are in a generation of take now worry later. Raising food will will raise the number of vulnerable. You may not like that, heck I don’t but it’s the way it is.
  15. Now now your looking at the big picture! which government wants to make working classes vulnerable in such an obvious way and lose votes for a generation?
  16. Completely agree fast food, ready meals and such should be taxed to make that kind of food unnatractive but it’s not going to happen. Also to make shitty food and drink unnatractive you’d also have to make proper food more affordable so people can get chicken, fish, beef etc at the cost of fast food and ready meals otherwise it’s pointless people will just pay more for the convenience and ease of fast food. As for food food banks just being there well that’s kind of a chicken and egg argument isn’t it they are there because there’s a demand maybe you can’t see that as you don’t need them. Again do you think people will lose all the Tech, fags and booze because food goes up?
  17. There’s truth to what you say but food banks are still on the rise, do you think if food went up in price people would stop smoking or get rid of their contract phone? I don’t, they'd carry on as is and carry on visiting food banks. Obviously we aren’t talking small price hikes if farmers lost subsidies food would rocket up and people who are getting by now month to month would drop into that vulnerable bracket and would need handouts or food banks. Its easy for matey boy to spout his guff, he never looks at the big picture.
  18. Can you explain how the price of food would stay the same please? Surely with less revenue in the form of subsidy it would have to make up on sale price. Who takes the loss ASDA? out of interest you are aware food banks are on the rise so people can’t afford to eat as it is never mind if food went up to balance loss of subsidy. I think the problem with you matey boy boy is you have an I’m alright Jack attitude.
  19. I don’t think it matters what changes are made as there will always be cowboys insured or not. there is only so much you can charge for Tree work to be competitive with others and I believe it’s illegal if we all got together and started price fixing. Domestically people don’t care what we pay to run our businesses they only care what they will be paying us. Commercially we now live in a world where lots of firms either want to pay you next year (slight exaggeration) or will go elsewhere for literally pounds less. It’s not just our industry either, I’m sure there are brickies, plumbers, joiners etc. out there who make a living with no quals.
  20. Fair enough won’t matter then.
  21. Steps to walk on? Theyll be a death trap in winter if so. Also if they are I’d be tempted to sandblast them 1) for a driftwood type finish 2) to offer a little grip.
  22. I quite like the idea of being in the middle. I know some some who are up to their eyeballs in debt, others say on a wedge but never do anything or go anywhere and some that are ok but live a lot.
  23. I think we can all pick up a few good habits and tips by working with or watching others. Iv I’ve just picked a handy tip up off @Mick Dempsey never thought to block numbers
  24. Too bad, by stretched hope you mean busy and doing well. Get some up when you can, always good knowledgeable videos.
  25. No they ain’t they have a thirst for blood, they haven’t enrolled into an official army on an official mission. They have disobeyed government orders who to be fair aren’t left wing lunatics. What happens if they make it home unchecked and happen to come back with ptsd, one day flip manage to get a weapon off the black market and open up on people over here. Still a hero? Theres a lot of people on here who are ex forces and may have seen the after affects of ptsd. Not nice matey boy. If you see them as such good guys why are you not off fighting the good fight?
